Responsibilities:
- Perform tree risk assessments and health evaluations.
- Plan and execute tree planting, pruning, and removal activities.
- Diagnose tree diseases and pest infestations and recommend treatments.
- Provide expert advice on tree care and maintenance to clients and property owners.
- Operate and maintain arboricultural equipment (e.g., chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards (e.g., ANSI A300, Z133).
- Prepare reports on tree conditions and recommended actions.
- Manage tree inventories using GIS or other mapping tools.
- Coordinate with city forestry departments or urban planning initiatives.
- Ensure proper disposal of tree debris.
- Climb trees and work at heights using appropriate safety gear.
- Manage schedules and oversee ground crew if applicable.
- Educate the public on the benefits of urban trees and proper tree care.
- Stay updated on best practices in arboriculture and urban forestry.
- Respond to emergency tree-related issues (e.g., storm damage).
- Estimate project costs and prepare proposals for tree work.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed.
- Identify tree species and understand their specific needs in an urban environment.
- Contribute to the development of urban forestry management plans.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and stored.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, or related field is a plus.
- Certified Arborist designation from the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA).
- 3+ years of experience in arboriculture or urban forestry.
- Proven experience in tree risk assessment, pruning, and removal.
- Proficiency in operating arboricultural equipment.
- Strong knowledge of tree biology, pests, and diseases.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with clients.
- Ability to work safely at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Physical fitness and stamina.
- Knowledge of urban tree species and their needs.
- Valid driver's license; CDL may be required.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Experience supervising a crew is a plus.
- Familiarity with relevant software (e.g., GIS for tree inventory).
- Knowledge of local regulations regarding urban trees is beneficial.

**Job Description**
**AECOM** has an exciting opportunity for an **Environmental Scientist II** to join our Remediation team in Conshohocken PA. You will work with a diverse team of technical leaders across a broad range of practice areas delivering remediation consulting services
The selected candidate will join a large established team conducting environmental assessment and remediation projects across PA. This position requires excellent written and spoken communication skills, organizational and time management skills, flexibility to work on a range of projects, and a positive attitude.
The selected candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with members of the project team, clients, site personnel and office management, and have the ability to work both independently and as a part of a project team and will rigorously apply safety policies and procedures and will effectively manage the quality of field efforts and project deliverables within the bounds of the AECOM Quality Management System.
The job responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:
* Performs standard scientific work requiring application of techniques and procedures.
* Detects problems when using standardized procedures because of the condition of sample, difficulties with the equipment, etc.
* Conducts specific phases of projects for more experienced scientists.
* Proposes appropriate analytical methods and techniques. Assists in providing advice and consulting services within scope of scientific knowledge.
* Draws conclusions and makes recommendations based on analysis.
* Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
* Works under general supervision.
**Qualifications**
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
+ BA/BS in Environmental Science or related field + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
+ Valid U.S Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review
+ As a condition of employment, candidates must pass a drug screening
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Masters Degree in Environmental Science or related field
+ 3+ years of experience in investigations and studies, remediation remedy or design
+ Experience with application of techniques and procedures, including mulit-media sampling (soil, groundwater, sediment, air)
+ Experience with US EPA, NJDEP, PADEP
+ Subcontractor oversight experience
+ Experience with soil logging and groundwater monitoring well installation
+ Understanding of project delivery requirements,
+ Knowledge to conduct reports with creativity, foresight, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team
+ Project management experience and developing project goals and deliver high quality technical excellence

Policy and Guidance Support
- Candidate shall assist TSA in the continued, implementation of Environmental Program policies, procedures, directives, guidance, and other support documentation (forms, bulletins, fact sheets, brochures).
- Candidate shall review environmental compliance checklist(s) and recommend, as necessary, modifications to ensure that audits performed using the environmental compliance checklist(s) address all TSA compliance requirements.
