Act as a subject matter expert in SAP S/4 HANA, advising on system capabilities and potential improvements. Champion process standardization across service operations, evaluating the necessity of process deviations and advocating for adherence to global templates. Ensure compliance with established architecture principles and standards, creating scalable, secure, and efficient solutions. Review and manage the approval process for configuration and functional specification documents, maintaining high standards of quality and precision. Oversee testing activities, including review and coordination of bug fixing, to validate that the solutions meet all functional and performance criteria. Developing and executing comprehensive test plans to ensure system integrity and performance. Support the cutover, migration, and hypercare phases specifically for the S2C process domain, ensuring operational continuity and system reliability post-go-live. Do you qualify? Proven experience as a solution consultant/architect in SAP transformations with a focus on Service to Customer processes. Experience in managing large scale SAP transformations. Expertise in configuring and implementing S2C processes for Inhouse Repair and (Advanced) Return Management (ARM) processes within SAP ERP systems. In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA's service management functionalities and integration with third-party systems, like Salesforce. Extensive familiarity with global template processes related to S2C and adjacent domains. Relevant SAP certifications or equivalent qualifications. Excellent analytical and communication skills, capable of leading discussions and presentations to stakeholders at all levels. Working Conditions and Special Demands: Hybrid Work: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote. Travel: will be required and may increase for limited periods during go-live/post-go-live at different ZEISS locations across the Americas. Occasional business trips to Germany can also be required. Job Overview:
The Finance RTR Lead will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end Record to Report (RTR) process within the finance function, driving the design, development, and deployment of the SAP S/4HANA solution. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless implementation of the RTR processes in a Greenfield SAP S/4HANA environment, aligning with the business objectives and financial reporting requirements. The RTR Lead will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, project management, and external vendors, to deliver a high-quality solution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead RTR Process Design: Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of the Record to Report processes within the SAP S/4HANA environment, ensuring alignment with best practices and business requirements.
- Solution Development: Work with SAP functional and technical teams to develop and configure the finance modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Bank Accounting, etc.) that support RTR activities in S/4HANA.
- Project Management: Act as the finance workstream lead in the SAP S/4HANA implementation project, ensuring that the project deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

- Change Management: Work with the change management team to ensure successful adoption of the new SAP S/4HANA system across the finance organization, including user training, documentation, and post-go-live support.
- Compliance and Controls: Ensure that all financial processes adhere to relevant internal controls, compliance standards (e.g., SOX, IFRS, GAAP), and audit requirements.
- Data Migration: Lead the migration of financial data from legacy systems into SAP S/4HANA, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and data integrity.
- Continuous Improvement: Post-implementation, drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize and refine the RTR processes in S/4HANA.
Required Skills and Experience:
- SAP Experience: 12+ years of experience in SAP Finance (FI/CO), with at least 3+ years of hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation projects. Deep understanding of S/4 HANA Innovation, Simplification areas and Fiori apps in the Finance Domain.
- Project Leadership: Proven experience leading the RTR workstream in a full-cycle SAP implementation, preferably Greenfield projects.
- RTR Expertise: Deep understanding of finance processes, particularly in General Ledger, Intercompany Accounting, Fixed Assets, Financial Reporting, Period-end Closing, and Consolidation.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA functionalities, Fiori apps, Central Finance, and SAP Activate methodology.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to financial reporting and system configuration.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders, including finance leadership and project sponsors.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with IT, business process owners, and third-party vendors to deliver project objectives.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field. A CPA, CMA, or SAP certification is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementations, including data migration, solution design, and deployment.
- Experience with multinational finance and accounting practices, including tax and statutory reporting requirements.

+ On your typical engagement, you will work with the key stakeholders to understand their needs and advise on SAP system capabilities. You will initiate the requirement gathering, architect solutions, blueprinting, testing, complete the workflow and documentation, as well as the functional design of the solution. Liaise with the stakeholders and technical team to translate needs into business solutions and complete the configurations and/or integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems.

+ Ability to guide and develop junior team members
+ Proven track record of complex problem-solving and relationship management
**To qualify for the role, you must have**
+ A bachelor's degree
+ 2 to 4 years of relevant experience working with SAP ERP based systems. At least one full implementation cycle focusing on SAP Accounts Payable, Account Receivable, GL, and/or other accounting/finance related modules is a must
+ Working knowledge of SAP FICO applications beyond Accounts Payable
+ Prior System Configuration experience with SAP Accounts Payable including invoice processing, payments and month-end processes
+ Knowledge of SAP AP accounting and finance functionality and reporting capabilities
+ Experience communicating functional requirements to development resources through functional specifications
+ System configuration experience in SAP Accounts Payable including Business Partner Vendor, Customer Vendor Integration, Bank Account Management, Payment Medium Workbench, DMEEX, Bank Integration & Payment Methods (move to Ideally)
+ Proficiency in relevant configurations to provision Automatic Payment Program for different Payment Methods
+ Understanding of integration with SAP SD, GL, and AP Payment Program and/or in-depth understanding of invoicing process including EDI, ERS & OCR
+ Experience collaborating with clients to gather and analyze business requirements related to Accounts Payable processes
+ Experience in executing system testing and validation to ensure that the accounts payable module functions correctly and meets meeting business requirements
+ Good exposure in drafting documentation related to workshop decks, business blueprints, configuration document, test scripts & functional specifications
+ Understanding of cross-functional integration of Accounts Payable accounting and finance processes with other SAP modules (e.g., Procurement, Transportation Management, Sales, Treasury, etc.)
+ Conceptual understanding of Withholding Tax w.r.t Vendors
+ Building and managing relationships
+ Complex problem-solving
+ Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills
+ Ability and comfort level researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies
+ A willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 80%
**Ideally, you'll also have**
+ Prior consulting industry experience or deep functional experience
+ Prior System Configuration experience with SAP AR module including, customer Business Partner master data definition, down-payment and invoice processing, manual and automatic cash application, dunning, and customer correspondence. Knowledge of lockbox processing logic and bank statement configuration
+ System configuration experience in SAP Accounts Payable including Business Partner Vendor, Customer Vendor Integration, Bank Account Management, Payment Medium Workbench, DMEEX, Bank Integration & Payment Methods
+ SAP Certification/s preferred:
+ C_TS4FI_2023 SAP Certified Associate - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, Financial Accounting
+ C_TS4FI_2023 SAP Certified Associate - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, Financial Accounting
+ Experience with at least one full cycle implementation of your core module
+ Additional qualifications that complement the role

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $101,500 to $86,000. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is 121,700 to 211,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
