• SC, SM (ASCP), MS in Clinical Chemistry or molecular diagnostics experience preferred for Immunology only

The Medical Technologist is an excellent technical opportunity at MultiCare, responsible for performing patient analytic laboratory testing, quality control, data analysis, results reporting, instrument maintenance and technical problem resolution. This position requires a service-committed individual, who is detail oriented and can perform complex data analysis, exercise sound, independent judgment and demonstrate critical thinking skills.

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $37.63 - $62.21 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. Specialty: Medical Technologist Job Description: Performs tests and procedures in assigned sections, including those which require exercise of independent judgment and responsibility with minimum supervision. Independently performs qualitative and quantitative tests, following established guidelines and predetermined criteria. Identifies problems that may adversely affect test performance and/or results and uses knowledge, critical thinking skills, and judgment to troubleshoot and resolve them. Provides information for patient diagnosis and treatment. Medical technologists, also known as clinical laboratory technologists, perform and analyze the results of complex scientific tests on blood and bodily fluids. These highly trained professionals work in hospitals and independent laboratories using sophisticated procedures and equipment. Receiving, typing, testing, and recording blood bank inventories. Qualifications: 2-3 Years of Recent experience of patient diagnosis and treatment. Performing laboratory tests experience is preferred. Active state license Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism when interacting with patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff members.

• Perform a full spectrum of clinical tests on blood, tissue, and body fluids using modern laboratory technology.

• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instruments to ensure accurate and timely results.

• Analyze lab data and work closely with physicians and healthcare providers to support diagnoses and treatment decisions.

• Uphold standards set by CLIA, CAP, and other regulatory bodies through routine quality control, audits, and documentation.

• Provide guidance to lab technicians while contributing to a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.

• ASCP certification (MLS, CLS, or MT) or equivalent (e.g., AMT).
• New graduates eligible for certification are welcome to apply.

Position Summary

The Surgical Technologist is responsible for assisting with the care and preparation of the surgical patient and the operating room under the direct supervision of an operating room RN. The Surgical Technologist has responsibility for the assembly, set-up, and use of surgical instrumentation and equipment during surgical procedures. Work situations are primarily routine but may change rapidly to an emergent or critical situation, and may require both directed and independent decision-making depending on the nature of the situation.

Requirements

• Graduate of Certified Surgical Technologist program or equivalent experience
• National certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred
• Active Washington State Surgical Technologist Registration required prior to start date
• Health Care Provider level CPR certification
• Previous experience preferred
