Job Description
The Network Engineering Manager provides engineering for the Deloitte network. This includes but not limited to routing, switching, and WiFi. This team works closely with other Deloitte groups and vendors to provide exceptional customer support. This resource will be creating high level documentation, low level documentation, configurations and scripts for enterprise deployment of solutions that align with business strategies. As well as, contributing to the transition of new technologies between Architecture and Engineering, confirming all appropriate documents & processes are developed.

Responsibilities:
+ Drive for results by motivating team(s) while constantly driving towards key milestones. Maintains constant awareness of deliverables; keeps team focused on short- and long-term milestones
+ Drive standardization to ensure one implementation and one experience.
+ Partner with vendors and understands critical information about future technologies. Lead the production and maintenance of processes, procedures, operational and architectural documentation.
+ Accountable for execution according to established standards, procedures, and processes.
+ Own cross-functional support for development and implementation of systems.
+ Ensure optimization and performance of the hardware, software and virtual infrastructure. Recommend upgrades, patches to current infrastructure, as well as capacity planning for future customer needs.
+ Be the third level support to the Operations Groups and monitors the Service Desk system. Perform troubleshooting, fault isolation, and recovery of failed network components.
+ Participates in a 24x7x365 on-call rotation and other maintenance activities as necessary
+ Provide IT management escalations to outstanding issues and problems as necessary to resolve and correct
+ Fosters a climate conducive to establishing positive working relationships with clients (internal and external)
Required qualifications:
+ Minimum 7 years related experience in security and network environments performing planning and engineering (hardware and software) and optimization.
+ 3+ years of recent experience performing routing & switching within Cisco environments and a strong knowledge of protocols such as: BGP, OSPF, IPv4/IPv6
+ 1+ years with previous people/process management experience
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration and/or additional relevant professional experience
+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
+ Ability to travel up to 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve. Travel may be required to locations including but not limited to MX, Costa Rica, Hawaii, PR.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Strong leadership and communication skills, combined with exception network competencies
+ Solid understanding of an enterprise IT infrastructure operational environment, adhering to industry best practice is desired.
+ Strong expertise in Cisco Certified Internetwork Routing and Switching
+ Senior engineering skills in three or more of the following:
+ Software Defined WAN (SD-WAN)
+ Secure Access Service Edge (SASE)
+ Automation, Programming/Scripting languages (Python, Ansible, etc.) & Orchestration
+ Cisco ISE, network access control and
+ Network segmentation.
+ Expert knowledge with multi-site network protocols and physical topology, systems monitoring, including packet level analysis
+ Advanced understanding of cyber security, cloud, compute and storage technologies.
+ Experience with InfoBlox, NetBrain, Solarwinds, DNA-C is a plus.
+ Excellent time management and attention to detail is essential.
+ Experience of agile methodology
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills
+ Ability to communicate strategic information, security topics, policies and standards as well as risk-related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences at various hierarchical levels
