**Job Responsibilities**
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
+ Release production orders for kits in response to customer requirements.
+ Release and process delivery notes in SAP P01to initiate the pick and pack process.
+ Process inventory-related transactions and reconcile discrepancies.Complete Post Goods Issue transactions to disburse inventory and initiate invoices.
+ Use Descarte TMS software to obtain mode of transportation, preferred carrier and freight rates for customer orders and to execute documentation for the LTL or small parcels.
+ Prepare shipping documentation. Create waybills, commercial invoice, and Shipping Letter of Intent for export shipments to ensure quick and accurate processing through Customs.
+ Use Global Trade Management software to file customs export documentation according to government regulations.

+ Assist Customer Service with order changes that are already packed or on a delivery note.

Job Description Summary: The Rail Supply Chain Analyst has the responsibility of scheduling the loaded and empty Airgas Argon Railcar Fleet. The Analyst works closely with Distribution, Supply Chain and Logistics to ensure timely deliveries to select US and Canada destinations in the Argon Supply Chain.
- Execute the Ortec Supply Chain Design plan on optimizing the rail car fleet. Analyze all rail routes to improve transit/turn times with the RSI software program in order to plan an optimized LAR rail schedule for our 175+ railcar fleet. Actively works to improve rail detention time at rail depots work with railroads to identify and correct issues related to routing, spotting, etc. Makes recommendations on utilizing rail vs. truck, in conjunction with distribution, Supply Chain and Logistics. Support LAR Supply Chain Manager on continuous improvement projects.
- Identify/track rail product losses and provide recommendations on reductions. Ensure all rail shipments are accurately billed in ALTO on a monthly basis. Compile and complete rail reports on a monthly basis.
- Works closely with Railcar Fleet Maintenance team diagnosing and resolving issues with railcars at the source and destination
- Manages the LAR inventory levels at all rail depots to ensure customer supply is met. Works closely with the AMG Logistics and Air Liquide Large Industries team(s) to manage LAR truck deliveries required for loading rail, including managing/scheduling 3rd party carriers dedicated to this task.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years experience in rail transportation or logistics industry required
- Advanced knowledge of Google applications (Docs, Sheets and Slides)
- Ability to operate custom supply chain software (ALTO, PI)
- Ability to be on-call after normal working hours due to the 24-hour nature of our business.
Preferred Qualifications

- Define plan to resolve issues short term and long term.
- Maintain MRP forecasts and item notes by establishing effective communications with POD sellers and CSR's.
- Answer material requests from POD CSR's.
- Aids in managing the supply chain to meet operating plans balancing service needs and costs.
- Perform daily schedule maintenance based on new production/customer information.
- Interact with supplier CSR's and POD sellers/DM's to resolve issues and build consensus.
- Maintain forecasted demand for stock-able products at specific warehouses using forecasting models in SAP.
- Analyze and maintain data to create information on safety stock levels and forecasting requirements.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
This position is responsible for managing inventory and distribution of common supplies and materials, raw material procurement, warehousing, and dispensing in the Central Raw Material Area to support the Global Technical Center in Brecksville, OH. The support includes working closely with site leadership, lab groups, and EHS to maintain appropriate inventory levels while maintaining compliance and ensuring the health and safety of Facilities Logistics team. This position is expected to align policies and share best practices with other SHW technical locations, specifically the Minneapolis Technical Center. This position will manage an Inventory Manager, Buyers, Shipping/Receiving/WH Technicians, and Material Handlers.
(1) Inventory Management:
- Oversee the Chemical Inventory Management System. Work with vendor on system upgrades and integrations. Work with IT and others for hardware problem solving
- Manages buyer group who procures raw materials and consumable lab supplies and optimizes order quantities and frequencies. Work with both new and existing raw material suppliers, Sherwin manufacturing plants and distribution centers, among others
- Work with internal customers to establish and maintain inventory through forecasting and warehousing of common consumable lab supplies and raw materials, and ensuring the site maintains sufficient material volumes
- Leads Continuous Improvement Projects for efficient raw material flow
- Manage Central Raw Materials Room
(2) Manager Shipping, Receiving, and Warehousing:
- Manage group responsible for all shipments into and out of the facility. Ensure all shipments are properly packaged, labeled, and abide by all government regulations
- Manage group responsible for storing materials in a safe and efficient manner, maintaining a log of inventory, and retrieving items for customers
- Oversee the safe operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment. Ensure all operators of such equipment within department are properly trained and certified.
(3) Material Handling:
- Manage material handlers assigned to support lab groups by delivering materials throughout facility. Train and provide continuous improvements for this group
- Manage group responsible for pouring off materials into smaller containers

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
FORMAL EDUCATION:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in a Supply Chain related field and 5-10 years' experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Replenishment Planning
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Minimum five (5) years' experience with laboratory or manufacturing supply chain management
- Experience with inventory management systems
- Strong analytical skills to monitor production and demand fluctuations, adjusting inventory levels accordingly
Preferred:
- Ten (10) years' experience in a laboratory environment
- Supervisory experience
