Per Diem/Part-time - 1-2 shifts per week

Shift Requirements: 6:00am to 2:30pm or 10:30am to 7:00pm (some weekends)

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Your responsibilities:

You will perform a variety of patient food services, dining room services and dish room services. You will be an integral part of the food preparations, serving of the prepared food to patients, families, staff and visitors and assisting in clean up.

JOB SUMMARY:

The GATE Store Food Service Associate ensures customer service is the first priority for GATE operations by providing a friendly and efficient experience for our guests by will performing routine food preparation and customer assistance. Collaborates with the Store Kitchen Manager and Store Manager to control store operations and inventory. Assists customers with finding products and provide customers with product information by assisting with food preparation as directed, operating food production equipment as required to complete tasks. Stocks the coolers and shelves. Ensures a high level of cleanliness and organization at the store. Performs minor maintenance and repairs on store equipment. Operates register to process cash and credit card payments. Food Service Associate assists in training new and existing team members on food preparation, customer service, and kitchen safety procedures

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Must have the ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language at a level sufficient

• Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

• Follows daily production guidelines as directed by management, maintaining the quality, temperature and appearance of foods. Relaying any issues with the food to the supervisor.
• Assembles resident trays, assuring that all items correspond to the tray ticket in accordance with the department guidelines, as assigned.
• Assures delivery of resident trays within timeframe established by the department.
• Delivers between meal nourishments and tube feedings directly to resident/resident room. Maintains floor stocks and coffee makers in nourishment rooms.
• Clears and returns resident trays to dish room to scrap, wash, sanitize, and return to station for the next service.
• Responsible for all catered events if needed; including the timely set up of all food items, attractive service and clean up/retrieval. May be required to work special functions as needed or assigned by management.
• Mediates resident concerns regarding meal service assuming the role of resident advocate regarding food services and taking ownership of a problem and assuring a positive outcome.
• Communicates with coworkers and other departments effectively regarding resident support issues, requests and other special situations.
• Demonstrates accountability for the proper use of Resident's Protected Health information (PHI).
• Requisitions necessary food and supplies, maintaining established par levels in their related work area.
• Assists Cook and/or Nutrition Assistant as assigned by management.
