Job Description
ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Engineering Technician IV** to join our team in **Lexington Park, MD.** This is an onsite position.
This employee receives technical advice from a supervisor or professional engineer and executes non-routine, complex assignments in support of Navy aircraft and weapons systems modernization projects.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**
+ Developing or reviewing designs to include detailed circuit diagrams, hardware fittings or test equipment, piping systems, building site layouts
+ Conducting tests ore experiments requiring selection and modification of test equipment & test procedures, preparing & operating equipment; measuring and recording data and problems; analyze data and prepare test reports
+ Shall use operational precedents that are screened to eliminate unique design issues. May be responsible for planning assignments
+ May construct prototype models to meet engineering requirements, conducting tests, develop/implement redesigns as needed, and record-evaluate-report findings - Will interface with and receive technical guidance from supervisor or professional engineer
+ May be assisted by lower-level personnel
+ Will have regular interaction with senior level personnel
+ Must be able to travel up to 10% of time
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree in a Technical or Scientific area and a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience OR equivalent education and years of experience may be substituted in lieu of AA/AS degree.
+ 4+ years of experience in installation of hardware and or equipment is required
+ 1+ years of experience in design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents and drawings
+ Must have experience working in Microsoft products, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with Navy Aviation Systems
+ Experience using a design/schematic software such as AutoCAD, SOLIDWOKS, MicroStation, Altium Designer
**Clearance Requirements:**
+ Must be a US Citizen and must hold interim secret or the ability to obtain.
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Tasking is primarily computer based
+ The person in this position must be able to operate and perform tasking on a PC
+ Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers, Customers, and management in person as well as through email, phone, and other virtual communication methods (e.g. TEAMS)
