Evaluate and recommend cloud services, tools, and technologies to improve efficiency and enhance system capabilities. Work with the audit and compliance team to ensure SOX compliance. Assist the security team with developing and enforcing cloud security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management. Provide technical guidance to WaFd information technology colleagues. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud computing. Qualifications Education/Skills/Training: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment and decision making. Strong documentation skills and ability to work in fast paced environments. Ability to assist internal and external customers in a personable and professional manner. Experience: 4-5 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar role. 4-5 years of experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell). In-depth knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS. Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform. Strong understanding of networking principles, security best practices, and data management in cloud environments. Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles including serverless computing, SaaS implementation and best practices for building scalable and resilient cloud applications. Experience with cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, SOX compliance and network security. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools for cloud-based infrastructure such as Splunk. Experience with configuring, deploying, and maintaining Active Directory services, including group policies, user accounts, and domain controllers.
