This critical role will involve working in a distributed Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation environment, contributing to Continuous Developmental Integration (CDI) activities, MDS Ground Test (GT) events, and MDS Flight Test support. The focus will be on hands-on support for MDA's distributed software threat simulation, integrating current and future software capabilities into the OSF Framework. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain Python scripts for automating tasks, analyzing data, and supporting simulations within the HWIL environment. Perform loading, configuration, and setup of framework software. Conduct benchmark tests and troubleshoot hardware/software issues, analyzing anomalies, and providing solutions.This includes debugging and troubleshooting existing code, scripts, and tools. Develop software analysis plans, procedures, and reports. Analyze HWIL architecture performance for MDS Ground Tests, Flight Tests (Pre-Mission and Post-Flight Reconstruction), and CDI activities. Support simulation integration analysis, data analysis, interface analysis, and simulation verification and validation. Prepare technical documentation and presentations summarizing analytical work for engineering reviews. Establish requirements for evaluation tools and processes. Develop analytical tools to support the test planning process. Coordinate analytical results within the MDS community. Develop the Army's Next Generation Sensor!
ABOUT THIS POSITION
Join a dynamic team of talented and inspired engineers developing a new US Army radar system. This program integrates state-of-the-art sensor technology with existing Army Air and Missile Defense systems, and requires an understanding of Radar systems and theory, and related software and hardware. Candidate will work closely with the STARE SW Director to assist with software release schedules, capability drops, and configuration management of SW releases. Will assist with the tracking of capabilities, incident reports, incorporation of fixes, and delivery dates of final software. Candidates require strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess SW development and planning, track SW/HW/functionality integration and provide independent assessments on suitability of Prime SW products. You will interface directly with the Government customer and contractor subject matter experts regularly. Up to 15% travel for meetings and test events will be required.
