**Summary**
The College of Engineering & Applied Science at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) will establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers in Computer Science from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure track positions will be made. Appointments are part-time (less than 50% time) and will be made semester-by-semester. The Computer Science Department offers BS, BA and BI degrees in Computer Science; BI degrees in Game Design and Development, and Cybersecurity; MS in Computer Science and ME in Cybersecurity; and PhD degrees in Computer Science and Cybersecurity.
This position will teach classes for the department of Computer Science. Classes may be on-campus, online, or hybrid. Examples of courses/subject area include the following:

POSITION SUMMARY
The person occupying this role facilitates museum experiences, engages guests, and develops activities and exhibits content at Discovery Place Science and Charlotte Museum of Nature. Experiences to be facilitated include camps, classes, home school programs, workshops, and activities in the museums. Additionally, this role develops units, classes, events, exhibits and curriculum for the museum as assigned.
Content Expertise : This role will serve as a content expert on computer science, including hardware (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, 3D printers, Hummingbirds, LEGO Spike,etc) coding, computational thinking and related disciplines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.
- Facilitates experiences for children aged Pre-K to 8th grade in various topics utilizing museum displays to augment standard teaching methods
- Adapts course content and complexity to ages and interests of students.
- Interact with guests at Discovery Place Nature and at Discovery Place Science. Provides experiences that empower and inspire guests to engage actively with the relevant content.
- Develop curriculum to include camps, classes, lab units, museum floor experiences, and other related projects.
- Contribute to the design of exhibits or exhibitions for Discovery Place Science and Discovery Place Nature, including Science Buzz stations.
- Contribute to the design of contracted projects, including the writing of curriculum for museums, school districts, film studios, etc.
