Job Description

ABM Industries is searching for an Electrical Field Test Technician (NETA/NICET I, II or equivalent) to become a vital part of our Electrical Power Services team. In this role, you will ensure the safe and efficient installation and testing of electrical power distribution equipment for our diverse customer base. Expect to travel approximately 25% of the time, collaborating with a dedicated crew to manage and execute a variety of tasks and projects, maintain records, evaluate test data, and prepare comprehensive field service reports.

Position Summary

Pay Range: $30 - $52 per hour, plus potential for paid overtime. The exact offering will vary based on your experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and market alignment.

Essential Functions

  • Work under the guidance of Senior Technicians to inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up, and collect data on electrical systems at customer sites.
  • Monitor project completion and communicate effectively with ABM and Customer Management.
  • Perform maintenance, test, repair, rebuild, and replace low, medium, and high-voltage switchgear and circuit breakers.
  • Troubleshoot automatic transfer switches and test low, medium, and high-voltage cable installations.
  • Maintain, test, and repair transformers and related equipment.
  • Test and calibrate solid-state and electromechanical relays.
  • Conduct low and medium-voltage motor control center and contactor testing.
  • Start-up, troubleshoot, and repair generator controls and transfer schemes.
  • Test and commission protection and control systems on high voltage substations.
  • Sample and interpret insulated fluids.
  • Complete Job Hazard Analyses, including arc-flash and shock analyses.
  • Review and report timecards, expenses, and project updates.
  • Document test results and finalize field reports.
  • Share emergency on-call duty on a rotational basis.
  • Ensure strict compliance with regulatory laws.
  • Assist in the sales process, serving as the technical expert in electrical testing and maintenance of electrical equipment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in electrical testing.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with project work.
  • Knowledge of NETA Acceptance and Maintenance Testing Standards.
  • Understanding of NFPA70E Electrical Safety standards.
  • Able to troubleshoot electrical performance deficiencies.
  • Willingness to travel regionally up to 25% of the time.
  • Knowledge of lockout/tag-out and hazardous energy control procedures.
  • Clean driving record and drug-free status.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with NETA Acceptance and Maintenance Testing Standards.
  • Current NETA Level 1, 2 or NICET equivalent certification, or similar experience.

Job Summary

About The Role
The Director of Application Support and Quality Assurance will oversee initiatives that align with the strategic goals of the ASG department. This role includes setting organizational objectives, developing plans, and executing strategies to drive business growth, with a strong emphasis on quality control and improvements to enhance claims processing stability, flexibility, and innovation. The Director will be responsible for both the strategic development and execution of a quality program to ensure continuous improvement and compliance, as well as managing day-to-day activities related to supporting core claims processing system configurations and changes.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Establishes controls and defines quality program (process and objectives) for end-to-end claims core processing to assure data and processing accuracy. Leads and oversees the QA function, ensuring products and services meet quality standards, developing and implementing QA strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues.
  • Works within Application support team support to evaluate and add quality controls and process improvements for Core back-Office systems including but not limited to: Core Healthcare Claims Processing Platform including Eligibility & Enrollment (Group, member, product and provider) and core claims processing (pricing, adjudication, edits and payment).
  • Actively develops and leads ASG team members in support of QA program to support client configuration and ongoing auditing of system changes. Works with Technical Business Analyst and Programmer Analyst to support day to day activities including, new client implementations, system enhancements and system defects.
  • Work with Business community to understand requirements and to assist with providing technical teams solution design to meet business objectives.
  • Assists VP, Application Support and other IT VPs along with CIO to establish claims core platform strategic roadmap.
  • Establishes processes to audit configuration before deployment to production to streamline timeline and minimize defects. Effectively utilize automated solutions and tools to create greater productivity.
  • Develops a key performance quality metrics reporting dashboard and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Creates and documents best practices, standard operation procedures, process flows, functional and technical specifications, process maps for more standardized configuration across clients.
  • Collaborate with and support Operations as needed to ensure the efficient processing and optimal performance.
  • Supports client implementation and products deployment.

  • Works to continuously improve claims system automation and performance.
  • Assist VP, Application Support to build a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment, using a coaching mindset and behaviors, communicating vision/values/business strategy, and managing succession and development planning for the team.

Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in technology, Healthcare Admin or related filed with minimum of 7 years' experience in Healthcare Payer or TPA setting.
  • Extensive background in understanding claims system configuration including, benefit plans, accumulator exchange and provider contracts. Prior experience with implementing claims systems and QA programs.
  • Prior background in implementing and managing Health Care Claims systems transformations and optimizations.
  • Proven results in building and managing a team. Provides direction and guidance to team member. Sets goals for team to achieve and holds team accountable for results.
  • Background in building Quality program, Quality metrics, roadmaps and process improvement.
  • Expertise and experience in preparing, Use Cases, Business & Functional specifications, Test strategy & cases and traceability matrix. Experience with automated testing tools a plus.
  • Proven ability to map business process and workflows, ensuring requirements are tested and achieved.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to analyze problems and resolve issues through resolution quickly and methodically.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented.
  • Flexibility to adapt to change and willing to learn and develop new skill sets as applicable.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Visio.

Responsibilities: Preferred experience in the assessment and preparation of manufacturing sites for Pre-Approval inspections by Regulatory agencies for new products. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Organization, will independently manage project assignments. Must have strong demonstrated interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills. Must have very strong relationship building skills. Immediate project support on review and approval of commissioning and qualification (C&Q) documents to support project delivery. Provide QA support including critical / constructive review and approval of GMP documentation such as Quality Agreements, Quality Risk Assessments, URS, FAT, IQ, OQ, PQ, other technical documents, change management, and manufacturing/batch documents to meet schedule milestones. Ensure all aspects of the project proceed in compliance with cGMP, regulations, and our Company's Quality Management System. Focusing on areas such as Qualification and Compliance covering Manufacturing Equipment (isolator, restricted access barrier, incubator, washer, autoclave, formulation vessel, lyophilizer, etc.). Review and approval of master batch records, executed records, technical protocols, investigations, change controls, SOPs, validation protocols, technical reports. Consults on an as-needed basis with next level manager on more complex decisions. Requirements: Quality Assurance professional with at a minimum a BS Biology, Microbiology, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering (or equivalent) and at least 5 years experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry. Must have working knowledge of regulatory expectations for the manufacture and testing of sterile pharmaceutical products with experience in quality assurance oversight of sterile manufacturing, sterile process validation and/or sterile process technology transfer. Must have 3 years of experience with development, review, and approval of User Requirement (URS), FAT, Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), Performance Qualification (PQ) for pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturing equipment, facilities and utilities.
