Job Summary/ Responsibilities:

• Performs specific portions of broader projects under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

• Planning, implementing, and overseeing geotechnical exploration programs (30% travel/field time)

• Developing geotechnical laboratory testing assignments

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Geotechnical Civil Engineer to support mine tailings, geotechnical, and heavy civil infrastructure projects as part of the mining group to telecommute for our Denver, CO. office.
**Job Summary/ Responsibilities:**
+ Performs specific portions of broader projects under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
+ Planning, implementing, and overseeing geotechnical exploration programs (30% travel/field time)
+ Developing geotechnical laboratory testing assignments
+ Performing geotechnical evaluations including material characterization, liquefaction, seepage, slope stability, and settlement analyses
+ Preparing calculation packages
+ Assisting with the development of geotechnical reports, drawings and specifications
+ Preparing and presenting technical presentations of evaluation results to internal team
+ Review of geotechnical instrumentation and preparation of instrumentation monitoring reports
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements**
+ BA/BS + 2 yrs of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
+ EIT Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
+ Valid U.S. Driver's License
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ MA/MS Civil Engineering with Geotechnical Emphasis
+ 4+ years of relevant experience
+ Basic Knowledge of industry software such as GeoStudio, Utexas, Grapher and AutoCAD Civil3D
+ Field/Construction experience; tailings or dams experience a plus
+ Familiarity with design reports, drawings and specifications
+ Excellent Verbal and written communication skills

Position responsibilities will incrementally increase over time and with experience. Experienced in grading, drainage, and paving and utility design. Responsibilities include plan preparation of water, sewer, paving, grading and drainage plans for private and public projects. The individual must be capable of and responsible for delivering a quality product in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering
• EIT registration or ability to obtain within 1 year
• 0-3 yr. of experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft software
• Ability to work in a team and independently
• Must be highly organized and detail oriented
• Proven design experience, ability to use 3-D design software is a plus
• Design experience with underground utilities, paving, grading, and utilities
• Experience with producing accurate and complete construction plans and reports
• Ability to work above 40 hours as needed
• Excellent verbal and written skills, communicating engineering information clerly and concisely
• Ability to learn and conform to company CAD standards
• Willingness/ability to assume increased responsibilities when presented

**AECOM is seeking a Sr. Civil Engineering Manager / Project Manager - Transit-Rail position in the Phoenix, AZ. office. This is a key position and will report to the US West Region Transit/Rail Engineering Department.**
**JOB SUMMARY:**
The position includes responsibility for business development, management of transit studies, preliminary design and final design of transit infrastructure projects including BRT, LRT, Streetcar, Commuter Rail, Heavy Rail, and High-Speed Rail throughout the western United States. Clients can include Colorado Department of Transportation, City and County of Denver, DART, LA Metro, BART, Caltrans, San Diego MTS, UTA, RTD and more. The successful candidate may be asked to serve as an AECOM team and/or discipline lead, project manager and/or technical task leader on selected projects and will coordinate, cooperate, and work collaboratively with others in the AECOM US West Region.
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
+ Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
+ Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
+ Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.

**Qualifications**

+ 10 + years of relevant experience
+ PE license in one or more states in the western US or ability to obtain
+ Experience with business development and client relations
+ Experience designing transit and transportation infrastructure
+ Experience with design software including MicroStation and GEOPAK and/or OpenRoads- Track and manage task budgets and schedule
+ Demonstrate leadership skills and communication skills requiring client interaction
+ Ability to work with various multi-disciplined teams is essential to this role
+ Provide in-depth Quality Control and Quality Assurance for design/project management/program management.
+ Familiar with MS Office.

+ Offered rate of compensation (in Phoenix, AZ **.** & Arizona regionally) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range is $140,000.00 - $20,000.00
