POSITION SUMMARY: The Operator - Heavy Equipment is responsible for the safe operation of heavy equipment at a recycling center, landfill or transfer station for the purpose of transferring, spreading, covering, loading and/or compacting waste or soil in an efficient and safe manner.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of the equipment in accordance with Company policy to ensure windows, lights, mirrors and rear view camera are clean. Safely and efficiently operate equipment that may include: forklift, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader and other equipment using proper safety standards.
+ Continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste in materials.
+ Continuously monitor the condition of the equipment to ensure it is operationally ready at all times to minimize down time; clean tracks or wheels on equipment, as needed.
+ Perform and document minor service on equipment, referring more complicated mechanical issues to Maintenance Shop for repair.
+ Complete Equipment Condition Report and other reports, as necessary; report any necessary repairs to supervisor, as needed.
+ Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
+ Ensure that shop is clean, serviced and stored at the completion of each shift.
+ Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

**Sortation**
+ Prepares sortation area by setting up pallets and carts for product.
+ Moves cartons and totes from conveyor belts and/or rollers and places on pallets and/or carts according to assigned batch.
**Loading**
+ Uses RF scanner to ensure that totes, pallets, and carts are loaded correctly onto trucks for customer delivery.
+ Uses pallet jack to load pallets.

Job Description

Position Purpose: Produces printed output/mail pieces using multiple high-speed printers and/or using automated inserting technology to meet production schedule requirements. This will be a 2nd shift role that will include weekends and holidays. A more specific schedule will be discussed at the time of interview.
+ Provides productivity and inventory data.
+ Maintains a high level of quality, productivity, and timeliness. Send jobs from computer using a variety of software programs to multiple printers.
+ Check output for accuracy, make corrections as needed.
+ Load and unload paper into printers and digital press.
+ Operates and maintain an inserter to produces mail pieces and prepare mailing for the Post Office.
+ Inspects and maintains equipment using provided maintenance schedule.
+ Calibrates machines, resolves paper jams and resolves issues with print quality.
+ Assembles and binds printed materials into envelopes, books, pamphlets, and other products.
+ Operates hydraulic cutter, comb binding equipment, ink jet, folding machines, cutter and bindery equipment, postage machine, and others as necessary to complete fulfillment work.
+ Complete hand inserting work orders as needed. Sort mail from inserting machines.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 0-1+ years mail production experience preferred, but not required. Should have the following skills: Attention to detail and time management. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.
Pay Range: $15.58 - $26.73 per hour
