**The Role at a Glance**
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in both Aurora PostgreSQL and Amazon Redshift Databases along with strong knowledge of AWS Services including Glue, Lamda, S3, Athena, and EC2. The responsibilities include building and maintaining scalable data pipelines, optimizing data systems and enabling advanced analytics and reporting across LFD.
**What you'll be doing**
+ Design, build and maintain robust data pipelines to support business intelligence and analytics.
+ Optimize and manage data storage in Aurora PostgreSQL and Amazon Redshift, ensuring data integrity and performance.
+ Integrate structured and unstructured data from various internal and external sources.
+ Ensure data security, governance, and compliance best practices.
+ Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality datasets.
+ Develop ETL workflows using AWS Glue, Lambda, custom Python, PySpark and SQL based scripts.
+ Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows.
+ Participate in data architecture discussions and help shape data infrastructure strategy on AWS.
**What we're looking for**
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
+ 7+ years of experience in AWS data engineering or similar role.

The pay range for this position is $108,501 - $195,900 with **anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range** and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. **The Role at a Glance**
The Customer360 is Lincoln Financials' enterprise data lake and mastering platform with hands-on support for advanced analytics, machine learning and AI, and service integrations across the technology portfolio including actuarial, digital and web and product platforms. A Data Engineer on the Customer360 team supports the platform architecture, design and implementation of enhancements, surfaces and vets emerging capabilities and partners with teams across the enterprise to implement their business cases.

+ Designing, implementing, and managing workflows using low-code/no-code platforms like Quickbase and /or Pega to streamline processes, integrate with enterprise systems, and build scalable, automation-driven applications;
+ Architecting, designing and implementing data warehouses and data lakes, ensuring data is organized and accessible;
+ Developing frameworks for monitoring and troubleshooting data pipelines, data warehouses and workflows to ensure data quality, system reliability, performance and cost management;
+ Architecting and overseeing implementation of IAM roles and policies to manage access and permissions within GCP;
+ Developing automation strategies leveraging Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) deployments;
+ Architecting and implementing services using GCP DevOps services to build and deploy DevOps pipelines;
+ Developing data security industry standard practices using GCP;
+ Optimizing Cloud resources for cost, performance, and scalability;
+ Demonstrating strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases;
+ Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka is a plus;
+ Experience with machine learning and data science workflows is a plus;
