• Lovelace Medical Center is an acute care hospital, with 263 licensed beds, providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, stroke care, radiology and oncology services.

• Perform routine diagnostic imaging procedures in support of assigned area and as requested by a licensed medical provider.
• Responsible for adhering to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure patient safety.
• May provide clerical support for the assigned department to include, but not limited to: filing, maintaining records, answering phones, scheduling appointments and entering data into computer.

Job Requirements

• Associates Degree in Radiologic Sciences or Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Program
• ARRT or registry eligible
• Radiologic Technologist Certificate issued by the State of NM, and CPR. *Employees employed in or prior to 1972 and licensed by the State of NM are considered grandfathered and exempt from ARRT requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• NM Radiography Tech (RRT) or Temp NM Radiography Tech
• Rad Tech-Radiography ARRT R.T.(R)
• BLS Certification is required at the time of hire.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Employee will have a period of 1 year to obtain ARRT certification.

• Performs radiographic examinations.
• Checks equipment, supplies, and accessories on a regular basis. Required to maintain the required stock of supplies for each radiography room.
• Develops film including evaluating film for technical quality.
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas.
• Transports patients to radiographic room (at times also back to room or ER); prepares and maintains room.
• Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.
• Attends meetings as required.

Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to join our team.

About the Job :

• This position is responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures, including portables and operating room imaging, under the general supervision of the Shift Supervisor.
• The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• CPR certification and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
