Daikin Applied is seeking a highly analytical and improvement-driven Business Analyst with a Process Industrial Engineering background to support key initiatives across our HVAC engineering operations. This role is responsible for mapping current-state business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting Lean and Six Sigma projects across various departments. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and process excellence. What you will do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document and map current business processes using tools such as SIPOC diagrams, value stream mapping, and process flowcharts
- Analyze existing workflows to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
- Develop and propose solutions using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline operations and eliminate waste
- Assist in the development and implementation of standardized processes and best practices
- Support continuous improvement projects from ideation to execution and validation
- Translate business needs into actionable requirements and process improvements
- Serve as a key contributor to process documentation, SOP creation, and metric tracking
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders with clear communication and supporting data
- Contribute to Kaizen events, root cause analysis (RCA), and PDCA cycles

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within HVAC or a related industry
- Experience with Lean principles and Six Sigma tools; Green Belt required, Black Belt preferred
- Proficient in process mapping, SIPOC development, and business process analysis
- Familiarity with ERP systems and data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Minitab)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to clearly articulate process issues and solutions
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
- HVAC or industrial manufacturing background
- Experience supporting or leading continuous improvement initiatives with measurable impact
- Exposure to ISO or quality management systems

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $40.92/hr to $51.60/ hr in Minnesota. **You will**
+ Assist customers and third-party administrators with the implementation, testing, and support of inbound and outbound API connections.
+ Coordinate and develop implementation strategy with third-party administrators for different API connection types (Plan Level, EOI, Member Eligibility, etc.)
+ Coordinate validation of requirements with third-party administrators
+ Create, write, and review test plans and scripts for User Acceptance Testing with third-party administrators
+ Support third-party administrators, external customers, and internal processing areas by trouble shooting data and processing issues.
+ Act as a liaison between the business community and IT.
+ Supply third-party administrators and/or plan holders plan and data specific requirements based upon Guardian's internal systems and standards.
+ Work with third-party administrators to understand their abilities to pass us data and provide solutions to situations/formats outside of Guardian's standards.
+ Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding connection(s)
+ Service customers to meet their needs. Involves receiving and returning calls in a timely manner and responding promptly to e-mails from both internal and external customers.

**Salary Range:**
$57,810.00 - $86,715.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.

Overview:
We are looking for candidates who have 7+ years of Business Process & Performance Improvement Experience, as well as 7+ years of recent & related Health Insurance (not pharmacy or provider) experience.
The Manager collaborates closely with cross-functional leaders, vendors and employees at all levels.
We have adopted a holistic approach to Lean Six Sigma where we identify Process Owners for ongoing continuous improvement in seven key Value Streams. Each Value Stream is supported by a Manager and Business Consultant that evaluates, documents, designs, manage and monitors the end-to-end processes and underlying systems through the continuous application of Lean principles. This position plays a leading role in transitioning to implementation to ensure changes stick, using additional skills in project management and organizational change management (OCM). This position may have multiple headcount accountability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field, plus 7+ years of related work experience beyond degree within Business Process Management (BPM), Business Analytics, Program and Project Management, Business Operations, etc.
- Health Plan/Payer and/or Healthcare experience (7+ years required)
- Platform Migration experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Health rules and/or Cosmos preferred
- Proven leadership ability across large cross functional teams required
- Continuous improvement and implementation experience required
- Program and Project Management experience required
Required License/Certification:
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt required (7+ years)

The Process Improvement Coordinator and Systems Administrator will play an essential role in integrating continuous organizational improvement for the agency by evaluating program processes, designing or improving processes, and aligning program processes with the agency's strategic goals and objectives.
This position will work closely with agency leaders, staff, and external stakeholders to identify projects that need new or better processes and procedures. This role will make recommendations on which projects to prioritize, define project requirements, and collaborate with staff to implement these processes and projects. This includes documenting existing processes, outlining requirements for projects, tracking tasks, creating manuals and documentation about process change, and training staff on the tools and changes.
This role will also play a key role in achieving the transformational goals of the Minnesota Department of Human Rights (MDHR) by providing operational and technical support for MDHR's case management system, OnBase. This includes identifying opportunities for database improvements, executing database solutions, investigating requests or database issues, clearly communicating more complicated technical solutions to the OnBase developers, and generating database reports for agency leadership.
