In this role, you assist with cultivating life skills and fostering independence. We work to match interests and lifestyles between people . You will participate together in activities of daily living , both at home and in the community. Through the matching process, you are able to match with a person whose needs fit the support level you wish to offer. Duties vary for each individual from minimal support (i.e., budgeting, medication, transportation, activities of daily living) to full support (i.e., dressing, toileting, feeding, positive behavioral support, etc.) , and the income is commensurate with the level of support provided.
Responsibilities include:

The Assistant Nursing manager is a Registered Nurse (RN) who has responsibility for the supervision of patient care, clinical personnel, and unit operations. This position supervises a work group to ensure that a high quality, cost-effective patient and family centered care is provided in support of the hospital's strategic plan, and the function's goals and objectives. The Assistant Nurse Manager in the ICU is responsible for managing the administrative and clinical activities of the Critical Care unit(s).
This position works collaboratively with functional leadership and is responsible for the oversight of daily operations of the assigned department including off shift and weekend supervision of nursing and non-licensed staff. This position manages resources, quality improvement, payroll, creating and maintaining colleague schedules and monitors patient throughput to facilitate efficient clinical operations. In addition, this position is responsible for a safe and therapeutic unit environment, which includes working in the department as staff RN to assist as needed.
This position supports leadership in ensuring standards of excellence and professional development are fostered and met. This position also participates in and may lead Performance Improvement work in their assigned department.
Delivers advanced professional and technical nursing care to patients with real or potential life-threatening illnesses presenting for care in the Emergency Department. Collaborates with the medical staff and other disciplines in order to facilitate patient care. Accountable for the smooth, effective and efficient functioning of the unit, with minimal direction from the department head. Supervises and instructs the department's nursing personnel for assigned shifts. Ensures that the department's nursing staff complies with the objectives and policies of the hospital and that age/developmentally appropriate care is given in accordance with unit standards. Performs nursing techniques for the comfort and well-being of the patient. Provides input to Director/CNO regarding hires, staff performance issues/needs, and employee schedules. Has the authority to transfer, suspend, terminate or discipline other employees. Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies, JCAHO, and the Nurse Practice Act. Is responsible for the planning and execution of the educational needs of the department. Due to necessity, he/she will be needed to work beyond the regular tour of duty, thus this is an hourly position.
