Job Summary:
The primary duties of the Electrician are to ensure the safe and efficient installation of backup/supplemental power distribution generator equipment within the specifications of the project. Our projects require an experienced Electrician who is proficient working on three phase systems. The Electrician will be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of his/her crew members along with the completion of each project in accordance with forecasted timelines.
Minimum Qualifications: (Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills):

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Procurement Specialist to support our Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project teams. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of procurement and subcontracting activities for complex Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects. From RFP development and commercial bid evaluation to contract execution and project close-out, you'll play a critical role in ensuring materials and services are sourced, secured, and delivered on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with Project and Procurement Managers to support project pursuit and execution schedules

- Validate materials and quantities based on engineering drawings and enter data into materials management systems
- Support resolution of overages, shortages, and damaged items through coordination with construction and logistics teams
- Ensure all procurement activities align with internal compliance, safety, and documentation standards
- Take on special projects and additional tasks as assigned
Required:
- 4+ years of procurement experience within EPC environments, particularly in T&D projects
- Proven track record in managing vendor/subcontractor RFPs, bid evaluations, contract negotiation, and material logistics
- Experience with supplier prequalification, submittal tracking, and expediting on high-value infrastructure projects
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Logistics, or a related field

Job Description
+ This position will offer you the ability to directly apply your knowledge of protective relaying and controls systems for HV and EHV substations. As a Project Lead of an engineering and design team, you will work on a wide range of substation modifications and upgrades to support client requirements and reviews including creating calculations, document designs, and specifications.
+ You will be responsible for preparing relaying philosophies, including selecting relay, control, and communications equipment, developing SCADA and telecommunication concepts and configurations, and overseeing the preparation of I/O assignments and connection diagrams.
+ As a Project Lead Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for guiding junior and senior-level engineers and designers in protection and controls engineering design efforts, including providing guidance with the coordination of detailed design phases for all aspects of the engineering work.
+ You will work on challenging assignments that include investigating, trouble-shooting, and solving a wide variety of engineering issues.
+ You will perform analysis and design of single line diagrams, substation relaying & metering diagrams (i.e. A.C. schematic diagrams), and D.C. Schematic diagrams.
+ Prepare engineering studies for client and peer review.
+ Perform independent reviews of work performed by others including calculations and drawing preparation.
+ Coordinate and provide guidance to other engineers, project managers, client personnel, and suppliers to ensure a complete and timely design.
+ Perform reviews of existing facilities to propose upgrades and replacements, and present findings and recommendations to clients and peers.
+ Develop your career via peer-learning through sharing of knowledge with other experienced engineers by way of Sargent & Lundy's systems of process and associated "Communities of Practice."
+ Provide guidance as a mentor in the development of less experienced engineers.
+ There is the potential for you to travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs.
This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week.

Essential skills and experience:
+ This position requires a BSEE with a power systems or controls emphasis from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
+ 10 or more years of experience with a focus on protection / control / telecommunications for high voltage substations; including design, installation, and coordination.
+ PE license.
+ Experience with serving as firm/client liaison in a support or lead engineering role.
+ Experience in writing and providing support documentation for relay calculations.
+ Experience with the design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
+ Proficiency with any of the following programs: SKM, ETAP, ASPEN, CDEGS, or vendor software.
+ Familiarity with design codes and standards, such as NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE and ANSI.
+ Experience with various vendor protective relay equipment typically used in substation protection, including SEL, ABB, GE, Areva, and Basler.
+ Proficiency with MS Office applications.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Valued but not required skills and experience:
+ Prior experience is desirable to include in-line, bus and equipment protection, breaker, transformer and similar equipment control, RTU and data concentrator based SCADA systems, telemetering and communications (fiber optics, microwave, power line carrier, etc.).
+ AutoCAD or MicroStation experience.
+ Construction and start-up experience.
+ Testing or commissioning experience.

We are currently seeking an experienced **Power System Electrical Engineer** with a record of accomplishment in delivering data center and substation projects. This position can be in the **Houston** , **Dallas** , or **Austin** offices.
**The opportunity**
+ Prepares engineering calculations for equipment sizing such as short circuit study, load flow study, arc flash study, harmonic study, battery sizing study and station service transformer sizing study.
+ Execute protection and control tasks, including relay coordination, settings, and configuration.
+ Support commissioning activities related to protection systems.
+ Configure protection relays using industry-standard software such as SEL AcSELerator and Siemens DIGSI.
+ Develop detailed design packages including, one-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, wiring drawings, logic diagrams and panel elevations.
+ Select and size major electrical equipment such as Transformers, generators, switchgear, current transformers, and UPS systems.
+ Provide protection design and engineering services for substations ranging from 13.8 kV to 500 kV
+ Apply knowledge of renewable energy systems (wind, PV solar, BESS) and data center electrical systems (an asset).
+ Perform engineering documentation and calculations using Mathcad Prime or equivalent tools.
**The skills**
+ Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
+ Minimum of 8 years of related work experience.
+ Hands on experience with CAD software and well versed with engineering related software like ETAP, ASPEN and PSSE.
+ Demonstrated leadership experience in both project and discipline-level responsibilities.
+ Basic knowledge of SCADA system requirement inside substation.
+ Familiarity with IEEE standards for protection system, transformer, HV circuit breakers, disconnect switches, grounding and neutral grounding transformer
+ Experience with air insulated substation and gas insulated switchgear.
