Job Description

Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler on the weekend shift, where you will play a vital role in the manufacturing of driveshafts. This position requires the operation of mechanical equipment, usage of hand tools, and ensuring the quality and productivity of the assembled products.

Responsibilities

• Operate mechanical equipment such as cut-off saws, welders, hydraulic presses, and balancers.

• Use hand tools to assemble driveshafts, ensuring all components are correctly fitted and secured.

• Utilize measuring devices, including tape measures and calipers, to ensure precision in assembly.

• Follow verbal and written instructions to interpret work orders and dimensional information.

• Perform testing and troubleshooting to ensure the driveshafts meet quality standards.

• Utilize production systems via computers, tablets, and scanners to track and manage workflow.

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or team leads.

• Continuously seek ways to improve processes and contribute to team goals.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Our client, a prominent player in the Power Utilities and Energy sector, is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer with expertise in 33kv to 132kv systems. This is a permanent role, offering the flexibility of working three days per week in the office, providing a great balance between professional engagement and personal time.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop electrical systems with a focus on 33kv to 132kv

Utilise AutoCAD to draft and design electrical diagrams and schematics

Integrate Independent Connection Provider (ICP) principles into energy projects

Implement Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Solar technologies into designs

Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure project success

Perform technical assessments and provide solutions for power distribution projects

Provide training and support for developing high voltage (up to 132kv) systems as required

Maintain compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations

Job Requirements:

Extensive experience in electrical design engineering, particularly within the power utilities and energy sector

Proficiency in designing systems within the 33kv to 132kv range

Strong working knowledge of ICP practices and BESS technologies

Experience with Solar energy systems

Ability to use AutoCAD for designing and drafting electrical systems

Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Relevant electrical engineering degree or equivalent qualification
