Job Summary: The Office-based Addiction Treatment (OBAT) Nurse position is primarily based in Amesbury with plans to expand location. This clinic is designed for patients with substance use disorder and will have a specific focus on equitable care which seeks to eliminate any disparities in access to or retention in treatment by race, ethnicity, or language. The nurse is responsible for assuring competent, compassionate, individualized nursing care for patients with SUD. This role collaborates with all members of the care team to ensure that patient care is coordinated, comprehensive, and that care transitions are seamless. This role also includes providing education and outreach with an interdisciplinary team. Some evening hours may be required. This position will require being willing to travel to different locations. This position will Report directly to the Addiction Nurse Practitioner Program Manager and Director of Nursing.
**Job Description:**
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and skills required for this position.
Primary Responsibilities
+ Responsible for assuring competent, compassionate, individualized, nursing care for patients with SUD
+ This role collaborates with all members of the care team to ensure that patient care is coordinated, comprehensive, and that care transitions are seamless
+ Provide competent, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care utilizing the nursing process and interdisciplinary teamwork, and collaboration
+ Actively manage patient flow, including rooming and triaging patients
+ Expedite appropriate care and treatment of the patient utilizing assessment, critical reasoning and clinical judgment,
+ Document nursing assessment, interventions, plan and outcome in the patient record in a timely manner
+ Assess, triage, provide nursing consultation, and perform follow-up and surveillance of patient status and outcomes, utilizing a variety of telecommunications technologies
+ Create a therapeutic relationship with patient and family respecting and supporting patient and family's cultural beliefs and values, individual needs, health goals and treatment preferences utilizing the practice of harm reduction
+ Provide health education to facilitate patient treatment, including but not limited to medications for SUD and PrEP (Pre-exposure prophylaxis), safer drug use, prevention of infections
+ Work with outside pharmacy to obtain medication orders, prescriptions, refills, and communication as needed
+ Administer injectable SUD pharmacotherapy as indicated
+ Consult with members of the treatment team and other treatment professionals to devise an individualized plan for optimal psychosocial treatment for individual patients
+ Work as part of a team involved in intensive case management of individuals with substance use disorders in a Team based, patient centered model of care
+ Review and timely follow-up with patients, and members of the health care team, to ensure that patients are current with all necessary tests, screenings and follow-up care
+ Attend all team rounds
+ Track and follow-up with care team and patient on all critical referrals and test results
+ Evaluate effectiveness of care and interventions for assigned group of patients, in collaboration with the health care team
+ Create a healthy, respectful work environment
Professional Development
+ Maintain and update clinical knowledge and skills based on current nursing practice
+ Adhere to departmental requirements for required training
+ Identify specific learning needs and goals and collaborate with nursing leadership in developing a plan to meet them
+ Any and all other duties as indicated within scope of practice, especially spearheading projects related to addiction care in the practices
**_Qualifications:_**
+ Vocational or Technical training in Diploma Nursing from a professional accredited Practical Program Preferred
+ Understanding of the philosophy of harm reduction Strong interpersonal skills. Strong patient communication and patient education skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications. May produce complex documents, perform analysis and maintain databases.

**Job Summary and Qualifications**
The Mental Health Technician works under the direction of the Registered Nurse, and shares with the treatment team responsibility for providing and maintaining a therapeutic milieu, through basic psychiatric nursing-related techniques, and supervised therapeutic activities, in accordance with relevant standards and regulations, as well as with clinical and administrative policies. Duties may also include assisting the treatment team with the teaching and orientation of new staff, acting in the role of Preceptor, and the performance of other interventions in support of discharge planning process, case management activities, etc., as directed by Department Manager.
**What will you do in this role:**
· Plays a pivotal role in devising and implementing the plan of care as part of the multi-disciplinary team, monitoring the treatment program with patients; supervising individual patient's compliance with treatment plans, and documenting observations appropriately.
· Assists in the admission and orientation of new patients to the unit.
· Assists other members of the Treatment Team in the implementation of the Treatment Plan, including teaching and orientation of patients to the plan.
· Possesses the ability to assess data reflective of a patient's status and interprets appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and provides care as described in clinical services policies and procedures.
· Responds to programmatic needs which may involve interdisciplinary collaboration, as requested by unit management.
· Organizes patients for groups and directs them to groups at the assigned times.
· Supports and reinforces the therapeutic milieu in a manner consistent with the efforts of other treatment team members.
· Facilitates/leads treatment focus meetings, activity groups and other groups having specific education/experience requirements.
· Informs the Charge Nurse of patient conditions, both physical and behavioral, appropriate to the degree of urgency warranted by the patient's condition.
· Escorts patients to appointments as assigned.
· Performs treatment procedures, e.g. pass preparation/return specimen collection, as assigned.
· Assists patients with personal hygiene and ADL's as assigned or when indicated.
· Maintains precaution checks as assigned and documents according to policy.
· Provides education to patients (and/or families) that includes instruction in specific knowledge and/or skills needed to meet ongoing healthcare needs, and documents the same in the medical record.
· Accurately and consistently completes the Shift Notes on assigned patients in the medical records and has no deficient charts.
**What qualifications you will need:**
+ Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
+ Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

**Mental Health Counselor**
New Hire Bonus $3,000!
_This position serves clients in Lowell and surrounding areas including Billerica, Chelmsford, Dracut, Lowell, Tewksbury, Tyngsboro, Westford.__ Ask me about my other locations!_
Are you passionate, self-motivated, and committed about sharing your clinical skills and knowledge with a dynamic team? Our Masters Level Clinicians provide home and community-based mental health, behavioral, and/or substance use services to individuals, couples, families, and groups. These are self-scheduling, Monday-Friday, days, and after-school hours.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Lead individual, family, couples and group therapy
+ Conduct client intake sessions
+ Facilitate crisis intervention
+ Conduct case management
+ Participate in multidisciplinary teams to present cases for proper treatment
+ Open to outreach, meeting people where they are
**Qualifications:**
+ Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology or related degree
+ Master's in Social Work must have their LCSW per MassHealth regulations
+ Must have completed a full-time clinical internship in a mental health setting
+ Must be license eligible by the State of Massachusetts
+ Valid driver's license in good standing
+ Exceptional communication skills with an ability to establish trust and rapport quickly
+ A good listener with an ability to empathize while still providing guidance
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
+ A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach
+ A commitment to quality in everything you do
**Compensation:**
Unlicensed- $0,000 base salary for 25 hours/week productivity. Quarterly productivity bonuses of 500-4000 for 26+ productivity hours/week average.
Licensed- 65,000 base salary for 25 hours/week productivity. Quarterly productivity bonuses of 1000-6000 for 26+ productivity hours/week average.

About you
