As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers. A key priority includes assisting the Store Manager in the daily operation of the store. Under the direction of the Store Manager, you will also be responsible for maintaining inventories, store appearance and completing daily paperwork.
**Principal Duties & Responsibilities** **:**
+ Greets and assists customers in a positive, approachable manner. Answers questions and resolves customer inquiries and concerns.
+ Maintains a presence in the store by providing excellent customer service.
+ Ensures a clean, well-stocked store for customers.
+ At the direction of the Store Manager, supervises, trains, and develops Store Associates on Family Dollar operating practices and procedures.
+ Assists in unloading all merchandise from delivery truck, organizes merchandise, and transfers merchandise from stockroom to store.
+ Assists Store Manager in ordering merchandise and record keeping to include payroll, scheduling and cash register deposits and receipts.
+ Supports Store Manager in loss prevention efforts.
+ Assumes certain management responsibilities in absence of Store Manager.
+ Follows all Company policies and procedures.
**Position Requirements** **:**
+ **_Education_** **:** Prefer completion of high school or equivalent. Ability to read, interpret and explain to other's operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics, etc).
+ **_Experience_** **:** Prefer store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments.
+ **_Physical Requirements:_** Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. (and occasionally, up to 55 lbs.) from floor level to above shoulder height; must be able to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.

**What to expect for the 2026 Nestlé USA Sales Development Program:**
The Nestlé Sales Development Program (NSDP) is crafted to accelerate the promotion of sales professionals and is the ideal fast track for those eager to pursue a sales management career.
The accelerated program provides immense opportunities to learn Nestlé's brands, categories, and channels of business. Throughout the rotational program, participants rotate into three different roles gaining experience and exposure into managing an independent sales territory and performing data analysis to provide measurable insights to the category and account teams. Graduates utilize their knowledge and experiences to propel their career forward as they explore multiple careers paths across the sales organization.
**First week at Nestlé USA**
Week one starts with participation in onboarding with team members and peers from other Leadership Programs across the organization. You will develop foundational business knowledge before heading into the field for role specific training.
**Rotation 1: Sales Representative - 6-month rotation**
You will be responsible for a sales territory and empowered to make business decisions to drive results. Your focus will be executing as an individual contributor by implementing data driven sales techniques and 4P Excellence to make significant contributions to your territory, directly impacting the entire organization.
**Rotation 2: Category Analyst**
In the second rotation you will receive instruction and hands-on learning from high performing Analysts. You will run reports and translate the information into measurable plans to drive business strategy. You will compile data to support category strategy development. Categories within our business include: Global Brands, Bakery Sweets, Premium Waters, Pizza & Snacking, and Beverage.
**Rotation 3: Sales Analyst**
The final rotation builds on what you've learned in the first two rotations. In this rotation, you will continue to partner with high-performing Analysts to be able to provide the business with actionable insights and plans that drive the business forward. However, in this rotation, rather than focusing in on a category, you will be offering customer strategy development for one of the following accounts: Walmart, Target, Kroger, or Dollar General.
**Program Graduation:**
At the completion of the third rotation, you will pursue a career within the Nestlé Sales Organization. These highly sought-after positions are comprehensive, interactive and strategically positioned within the Sales Organization and you may capitalize on your previous experience to excel in your new role.
**Where you Work:**

**Rotation Descriptions:**
**Rotation 1: Technical Applications Group - Associate Project Manager**
During this rotation, you will take the lead in cross-functional teams, driving innovation in product development. You will gain a solid foundation in marketing decision-making, encompassing manufacturing, financial impact, and consumer insights. Dedicated mentorship and training will support your development, ensuring you thrive in this role.
**Rotation 2: Marketing - Consumer Insights Analyst**
Our consumers are at the heart of all that we do. In this rotation, you will collaborate with our Consumer Marketing Insights teams in support of one of our divisions. During this rotation, you will have the ability to collaborate extensively with our CMI teams, brand and commercial partners, along with experts in our Center of Demand Generation (CDG). You will build strong analytics and insights skills to be able to influence and enable our Brand Marketing teams to win with our consumers.
**Rotation 3: Marketing - Brand Marketing Analyst**
During your final rotation, you will join a Brand Marketing team within one of our divisions. This is your opportunity to "put it all together" and leverage all the skills & knowledge from your previous rotations. You will call on experiential learnings and apply them to developing strategies and activations for your team. **What to expect:**
At Nestlé, we offer a paid, 6-month co-op program in Packaging during a school semester; Fall 2026 (June-December). Our Packaging team leads all aspects of the entire development process, from design to manufacturing. Students are given real-life responsibilities through involvement in various activities, initiatives, and the chance to lead their own major projects. The projects will vary in complexity and provide good exposure to a wide range of packaging materials and technologies.
We give students the opportunity to assist in the development and industrialization of new packaging launches, sustainability initiatives, quality improvements, cost optimization, and improved line efficiency efforts. You may also have exposure to different experiences and projects. These may include factory visits, qualifying materials or molds, leading a line trial, performing laboratory testing, developing protocols, creating technical reports and/or attending trade shows. In addition, these individuals will provide technical assistance to various internal departments to support business goals and will interact with Nestlé factory staff, internal customers as well as external vendors.
This program is designed to develop future professionals for our Packaging function. We are looking for individuals with the right mix of talent and enthusiasm with shown leadership skills, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work in a team setting.
**Key Outputs:**
+ Lead sustainability and productivity initiatives to help reduce material usage of existing packaging platforms by identifying, testing, and qualifying alternate materials or processes
+ Develop protocols and conduct extensive testing to evaluate product and package performance in a real-world environment
+ Design a new package format for different channels of trade (e.g., Club stores, Value, Grocery, and E-commerce)
+ Assist in preparation of documentation and specifications for packaging materials
+ Job Assignments will be based in either a corporate site or a manufacturing site for the duration of the co-op
