About the Job
In this role, the Radiographer will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring supervision of technical detail. Performs technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and innovative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnosis.

Pay Range: $30.00 - 46.00 per hour

**Responsibilities**
Operate a scanner to obtain images used to diagnose and treat of pathologies.
+ Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
+ Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
+ Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develop film in an automatic processor.
+ Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
+ Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers, and patient data/history).
+ Ensure equipment is properly functioning.
+ Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
+ Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area, and any other areas in department.
**Requirements**
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
+ BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
+ One or more of the following required:
+ Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Any specialty accepted for Radiologic Technologist issued by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
+ Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Any specialty accepted for Radiologic Technologist issued by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
+ Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
+ High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

- Maintains and cleans work area and equipment; replenishes supplies as needed.
