Responsibilities:
  • Primary responsibility will be managing field operations and contract administration including safety, personnel, subcontract scheduling, material and equipment procurement and schedule

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related degree. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree

**About the Role**
The Data Center New Construction Owner's Representative/Sr. Project Manager leads all aspects of Data Center construction projects. **What you'll do**
+ Work with Contractor(s) / A&E design team to create and establish the Master Project Timeline, based on the Critical Path and key achievements
+ Create and establish the Master Project Budget, including soft costs and hard costs
+ Support Contractor pre-qualification, bid solicitation, bid analysis and recommendations
+ Coordinate Design Team activities
+ Ensure A&E is completing the complete list of City and/or other Authority approvals process, permitting, etc
+ Coordinate Constructability review of the project documents
+ Provide / gather cost estimates working with subs and other vendors for scope gaps/changes
+ Coordinate Value Engineering effort
+ Review Cash flow projections on a monthly or quarterly basis as required
+ Manage Cost / Change Control, including change order review, negotiation, & recommendations, delay analysis - At program level
+ Coordinate Value Engineering
+ Ensure Budget Management and Tracking
+ Ensure tracking of all key project documents, including submittals, RFI's, change orders, invoices and payments, lien releases, etc is being enforced
+ Coordination and management of all Owner-direct vendors working with supply chain and consultants
+ Periodic confirmation of safe construction practices by GC and vendors
+ Initiate close out process prior to project completion, typically two to three months in advance with Document Control team, setting timelines and responsibilities
+ Establish close out documentation requirements. Ensure receipt of all close out documents until completion, including warranties, as-builds, O&M manuals, etc.
+ Ensure punch list, completion and final completion process through onsite Construction management team
+ Negotiate, resolve and close out any outstanding change orders, quality issues or disputes

William Charles Construction, a MasTec Company, is in search of a Project Manager to support our Clean Energy & Infrastructure High Voltage Group.  The Project Manager will be responsible for managing substation & transmission line electrical construction projects within the clean energy (wind & solar) markets from pre-construction to completion, while ensuring the project remains on schedule and within budget. 

Must be capable of up to 75% travel (e.g. 3 weeks or 15 days per month) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job, and the employee must have the ability to drive and have proper licensing.

You can be based in any city or state in the United States. This is a traveling position encompassing work sites in the assigned project area (Missouri, Indiana, Illinois). You have the potential to be placed on a project site located in any state throughout the US. We offer designated per diem in addition to base pay to support and help you cover living expenses during the travel rotation. A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish site specific safety requirements in partnership with the safety team to ensure programs and policies are established and executed.
  • Establish a Project Execution Plan in cooperation with the pre-construction and operations personnel to facilitate contract management/compliance, resource planning and tracking, procurement requirements, and critical path schedule management. 
  • Financial monitoring and reporting including cost monitoring, cost and revenue projections, change order logs, under/over-billing reports, invoicing. Maintain Project records.

Qualifications:

Project Manager I

  • High School diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. preferred). A combination of education & experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 3 to 5 years of Medium/High Voltage substation and transmission line construction industry experience/knowledge of construction techniques, estimating and construction management.

In this position, you will consult/analyze and deliver more complex projects/initiatives through execution of consulting services, including project management, business analysis and relationship management, which includes but it not limited to accountability for implementation of project deliverables with a focus on business planning, requirements, communications and change management within Corporate Finance/Accounting.

The pay range for this position is $69,000 - $124,600 with **anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range** and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. The Transportation PMCL within the TNG is a key role in managing and building a high-performing Project Management Team through effective leadership and teamwork to successfully deliver projects and client service, while maximizing the long-term profitability of the firm.
**We are open to filling this position with a candidate being tied to any of our offices within Transportation North Group region in the states: MN, IA, WI, IL, MI, IN, OH, WV, VA, PA, MD, DE, NJ, NY, CT, MA, RI, VT, NH, ME.**
Primary responsibilities for this role include:
- Supervising a team of Senior Project Managers in the day-to-day operation of transportation projects including: project delivery performance, pricing strategies, risk management, forecasting and budgeting, and performance reporting. This PMCL's portfolio of projects would potentially include work with various DOTs, municipal agencies, turnpikes and transit organizations.
- Providing interpretation of monthly performance figures to support the overall business unit management and to the project managers to resolve project issues and improve project performance.
- Directing and supervising project management staff to provide coaching on timely, effective, and efficient performance of project managers' responsibilities.
- Driving consistent project management practices and procedures in alignment with CDM Smith PM requirements and those of the group.
- Managing transportation design projects to potentially include DOT, turnpike, large municipality, county, and transit agency clients.
- Supporting, inspiring, elevating and rewarding team members.

- Bachelor's degree in Civil, transportation, or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
- Professional engineering (PE) license.
- 12 years of related experience.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Recent experience managing transportation road, highway, bridge and/or transit design projects, ideally for various clients within our current TNG portfolio.
- Strong Project Management experience including: the development of scope, schedule, and budget, and the subsequent monitoring of cost and schedule.
- Previous experience managing a team of Project Managers.
- Business development skills and experience such as client service and proposal preparation.
- Leadership skills to drive a culture that emphasizes profitability, quality deliverables, and legendary client service.
- Current PM certification (either PMP, CCM or DBIA), or the ability to acquire said certification within 12 months of hire.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
