The Supply Chain Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily activities to ensure the efficient, timely, and cost-effective execution of processes related to the movement of goods and materials. This role involves supervising a team and coordinating activity with partners and peers.  The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of supply chain operations, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and collaborate with a team of employees, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability through open communication and leading by example, engaging with the team by utilizing both group and individual meetings. 
  • Organize daily activities to align with team-focused priorities, delivering on company and customer objectives. 
  • Comply with relevant laws and standards, including health, safety, environmental regulations, and an understanding of licensing requirements. 
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency. 
  • Maintain strong team relationships, fostering collaboration with key customers and stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met. 
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement improvement plans to ensure team effectiveness.   
  • Conduct daily staff meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and safety guidelines. 
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to reduce operational costs. 
  • Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and complies with company policies and regulatory requirements. 
  • Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION :

  • Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS :     

  • Minimum 2 – 3 years of experience at a senior or lead level; or 1 – 3 years of experience as a Supervisor.
  • General computer knowledge, Windows, Word, and Excel with excellent typing skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.
  • Strong performance management and talent development background.  
  • Excellent customer service with phone and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to perform under stressful situations and demonstrate potential problem-solving skills.
  • Must be calm under pressure with ability to be a team leader.
  • Ability to apply and understand how to carry out instructions furnished in writing or oral form.
  • Understanding of department safety rules, procedures manuals and instructions with the ability to train direct report employees.
  • The ability to operate material handling equipment.
