Pediatric Therapeutic Services (PTS) is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide therapy services for a local school district in Abington, PA for the 25/26 School Year.

Responsibilities:
- Screen, assess, and evaluate students using appropriate tests and assessment instruments.
- Plan and provide appropriate specialized physical therapy techniques through individual and/or group sessions designed to meet the educational needs of the student consistent with physical therapy goals contained in Individual Education Plans (IEP).
- Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings to develop IEPs.
- Evaluate student progress and determine readiness for termination of therapy services.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and implement classroom-based activities.
- Collaborate with parents in the physical therapy program of their child.
- Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required in accordance with federal and state law, State Board of Education rules, and school policy to include documentation for the need for equipment and materials.
- Meet the needs of all students effectively by working in partnership with other disciplines.
- Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rules, and school policy.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of research, theories, and practices associated with the Physical Therapy profession.

**GENERAL OVERVIEW:**
Recognizes, manages and rehabilitates injuries to professional, amateur and recreational athletes. Provides techniques for prevention of injuries. Works independently, but under the direction of Senior Staff, Sports Medicine Supervisor, and Team physicians to manage the daily operations within a school districts' athletic medicine program. Acts as a point of contact for AHN to the district for communication of the management of injuries within the athletic program by communicating with athletic directors, coaches, school nurses, physicians, parents, athletes and sports medicine staff as needed. Also develops exercise programs, performs data entry/recordkeeping, assists with cleaning the facility, and monitoring supplies for the athletic program.
**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Evaluates and manages injuries and determines whether a referral is necessary. Maintains a medical file on each athlete and acts as a liaison between the physician and the athlete or athlete's parent. Prepares athletes for practice or competition. (50%)
+ Acts as a liaison between school administrators, school nurses, guidance counselors, coaches, athletes and parents to appropriately manage, educate and return athletes back to play/activity. Additionally, coordinates all communication to return athletes with concussions back to play in coordination with the Pennsylvania State Law. (20%)
+ Implements treatment and rehabilitation programs under the supervision of a physician and guidance of Athletic Trainer II or Senior Staff. Develops functional training programs and conditioning programs for injured and non-injured athletes. (20%)
+ Cleans Facility: Assists with cleaning the facility each night and putting equipment back in place. (10%)

**GENERAL OVERVIEW:**
Assists physicians and extenders in providing proper medical and clerical support for the various orthopedic practice locations.
**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ After appropriate training and documented competency, performs various related procedures including but not limited to wound care, dressings, EKGs, removal of sutures/staples, application/removal of orthopedic casts/splints, and drawing up injections, vaccines, botox, phlebotomy for PRP and assisting with ultrasound procedures.
+ Assists in the coordination of patient care under the supervision of the assigned health care provider.
+ Prepares and rooms patients within the clinical practice setting according to documenting patient health information, history and medications. Accurately interviews patients and orders radiographs according to physician protocols.

Reviews and updates the allergy and medication list, social, medical and surgical history and pain screening. With appropriate training and documented competency, may function as a scribe to the provider when needed to maintain clinic work flow.

+ Perform pre-visit chart management tasks by obtaining diagnostic reports and reviewing charts for completion. Scans pertinent findings from outside information to physicians and staff as necessary.

**Position:** Certified Athletic Trainer
**Location:** California, PA
**Schedule:** Weekdays/Weekends, typical high school AT hours
**Compensation:** Starting at $44,000/Yr, commensurate with experience
**Incentives:** $500 sign-on bonus
NovaCare Rehabilitationis seeking a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for our athletes! In this role, you will service **California Area High School** and coordinate access to additional health care for their athletes. All hours will be dedicated to the HS with no clinic hours required! This is a 12-month contract, school has a brand new stadium, very supportive Athletic Director and administration with competitive teams!

**Responsibilities**
+ Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for injured athletes' rehabilitation
+ Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury (techniques can include taping, wrapping, bracing, proper hydration and minor wound care)
+ Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record change as indicated by athlete response within limits of specified plan of care
+ Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures including basic life support to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete.
+ Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc.)
**Qualifications**
**Minimum:**
+ Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree
+ National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) certification
+ CPR certification
+ Applicable state license where required
**Preferred:**
+ Master's degree
