What is a typical day as a Inventory Control Specialist?
- Monitor actual job costs versus estimates, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions
- Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness
- Oversee inventory management processes including tracking, ordering, and reconciliation.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accurate stock levels and reduce waste.
- Provide timely financial and operational reports to management, highlighting trends and improvement areas
- Collaborate with production teams to understand material needs and usage patterns
- Assist in developing pricing strategies for accurate and competitive job pricing
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in job costing and inventory workflow.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in job costing, inventory management, or related financial/operational roles.
- Experience in manufacturing environment preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and job costing/inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities.
