IT will provide technology solutions, expert consultation, and leadership, resulting in numerous enhancements to the advancement of learning and knowledge and the effectiveness of campus support services and business processes for the entire University. The Client Services unit provides a client-facing, service-oriented environment in the delivery, support, and management of campus IT computing services, end-point devices, and technology-enhanced learning spaces. The department provides client technology services and support for University students, faculty, and staff. The unit consists of teams of information technology professionals providing a wide variety of technology support services to the campus's academic and administrative divisions. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: USER SUPPORT Provides consultative technical support in-person, by phone, by email, by chat, by ticket management and/or through remote desktop tools to end-users and end-point devices to ensure problem resolution, system/data access, and optimal system performance. Answers technical questions and regularly communicates with various students, faculty, staff, administrators, visitors, and outside vendors; uses sound judgment and decision making in order to find solutions and implement appropriate and timely solutions. CLIENT DEVICE SUPPORT Performs imaging, configuration, testing, deployment, and routine maintenance and updates of technical equipment including, but not limited to: desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, scanners, and various peripherals. Provides hardware and software deployment and support for campus computing equipment and services including, but not limited to: devices assigned to students, staff, and faculty members, physical computer stations (kiosks, classrooms, labs) and virtual desktop environments. REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4+ years (8+ years preferred) of applied professional experience using Esri’s ArcGIS 10x, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online suite of software and extensions or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced experience with data management including organizing and maintaining complex projects containing geospatial and tabular data, aprxs, custom tools and toolboxes, analysis output, maps, and SQL enterprise geodatabases.
  • Advanced experience designing and conducting complex geospatial analyses utilizing Python or ModelBuilder to develop customized tools and procedures.
  • Experience with projects spanning large geographies across multiple coordinate system boundaries.
  • Experience designing and developing ArcGIS Online web maps and customized web apps utilizing ArcGIS Server, and integration of Online, Mobile, and Desktop technologies.
  • Experience building, deploying, and supporting Esri mobile applications such as Field Maps, Survey123, and Operations Dashboard.

For the Managing Technical Consultant, Geospatial Scientist position, we anticipate the annual base pay of $91,185 – $112,188 (USD).  An employee’s pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.  We also may have instances where employee’s fall outside of the range based on the factors noted above. This job may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are NOT bonus eligible).
