Who are we hiring?

The Coordinator Human Resources Business Partner is an integral part of the Human Resources team, serving as the first point of contact for HR-related matters across the MSG Venues, including Radio City Music Hall, The Beacon Theatre, and The Chicago Theatre. The Coordinator plays a vital role in streamlining HR processes, managing employee inquiries, facilitating urgent employment transitions, maintaining headcount reports and organization charts, and assisting with requisition requests.

What will you do?

  • Provide HR support to all full-time and part-time employees within Venue Operations and Productions divisions
  • Support execution of annual performance initiatives, including performance management, talent management, and career pathing and any reporting associated to the initiatives
  • Pull and organize headcount reports, ensuring accuracy and updating organizational charts. Identify data inconsistencies and report accordingly
  • Assist in employee life-cycle processes such as hiring, transfers, promotions, terminations, and disciplinary actions
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain up-to-date knowledge of MSGEs Employee Handbook, PTO, benefits, and payroll information
  • Manage urgent employment transactions and LOA/ADA records and conversations
  • Support management at all levels within the business partner team on HR initiatives
  • Track employees in good standing for service award eligibility and various internal initiatives
  • Build and process requisition requests and assist in drafting job descriptions. Maintain an accurate record of job descriptions
  • Schedule and set up meetings to support HR initiatives
  • Participate in learning and development programs and trainings as needed
  • Maintain decks, Excel sheets, and materials for various ongoing projects
  • Serve as a liaison between business partners and other HR functions

What do you need to succeed?

  • 1+ year of experience in Human Resources or related field of work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organization and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Integrity, tact, diplomacy, and a commitment to company values and HR best practices
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; knowledge of Oracle HCM system is a plus
  • Ability to set clear objectives for self and team, deploy resources effectively, and adjust for evolving priorities

You Have:

  • 1-3 years of recruitment or administrative support experience

  • Previous experience with HR databases and automated recruiting tools (Workday, ServiceNow)

  • Experience communicating (written and verbal) effectively and tactfully in a customer service manner

  • Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels of management

  • Experience using and maintaining multiple tools such as Canva, Sterling, Gmail, Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Form and Google Sheets

  • Experience coordinating and performing multiple tasks

  • Experience using the Recruiting function in Workday

  • Strong organizational skills, proven attention to detail/accuracy is required

  • Develop and refine our recruitment messaging and positioning to attract top talent
  • Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the process, providing timely updates and feedback
People Operations & Onboarding
  • Assist in the design and execution of comprehensive onboarding experiences for new hires
  • Coordinate 30, 60, and 90-day check-ins and development plans
  • Manage new hire documentation, compliance requirements, and first-week schedules
  • Support broader people operations workflows and employee documentation management for both NoGood and Goodie
Culture & Engagement
  • Collaborate with the People Team to plan and execute culture initiatives including team events, offsites, happy hours, and celebrations
  • Support employee engagement efforts across our New York , remote US, and global team
  • Collaborate with leadership on team-building initiatives and company culture development
  • Coordinate company swag, recognition programs, and other engagement activities
Analytics & Continuous Improvement
  • Track and analyze recruiting metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Provide regular reporting on hiring pipeline, time-to-fill, and candidate experience metrics
  • Continuously refine recruiting processes based on data insights and candidate feedback
You have:

Core Experience
  • 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in fast-paced environments- preferably at an AI, SaaS, or similar tech startup(s)
  • Proven track record hiring for technical, marketing, sales, and creative roles
  • Experience with both domestic and international hiring processes
  • Strong understanding of recruiting best practices and compliance requirements
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and sourcing tools
  • Knowledge of recruiting platforms (LinkedIn Recruiter and specialized job boards aimed at tech and startup hiring)
  • Experience with HR information systems and documentation management
  • Familiarity with employment law and compliance requirements, domestic and global
Strategic & Interpersonal Abilities
  • Excellent judgment in assessing candidate potential, cultural fit, and role alignment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport quickly with candidates from diverse backgrounds and industries

Regularly evaluates effectiveness of hiring tools and resources to suggest and promote improvements to increase streamlining and effectiveness. Researches industry standards and best practices to identify areas for improvement: Collaborates with Senior Human Resources Manager to implement these changes. Including, but not limited to: job descriptions, requisition forms, interview and phone screen guides, rating tools, E-mail communication templates, vacancy notices, and new hire packets Collaborates with managers to continuously develop and implement varied applicant sourcing strategies to successfully recruit candidates to support our culture and values Researches and attends events within the service area to promote vacancies and establish presence in the local communities Maintains recruitment activity tracking databases, generates reports, and makes recommendations on how to increase efficiency. Effectively communicates recruiting, sourcing, and hiring updates to HR colleagues, hiring managers, and key stakeholders. Facilitates legally defensible interviewing and selection practices and helps communicate what those are to participants on various hiring teams Conducts interview trainings, in collaboration with the Senior HR Manager, to promote best practices and prepare internal leaders to conduct ethical and thorough interviews. Ensures pre-employment requirements are met, including, but not limited to communicating, collecting, documenting, and tracking all health assessment and vaccination requirements, prior to hire Conducts follow up with community occupational health partners to ensure timely submission of health records, and error corrections Initiates and facilitates preliminary communications with onboarding clinicians and the credentialing department, to ensure credentials / licensures required for the role can be obtained. Co-facilitates New Employee Orientation and coordinates new hire orientation meetings including, but not limited to, scheduling presenters, booking a meeting space, ensuring new hire packets are updated and available on day of orientation, and coordinating meals. Displays a thorough understanding of collective bargaining agreement (CBA) and Employee Handbook in order to provide new hires with accurate benefit and PTO information, as well as advise employees and managers on the hiring process requirements, outlined by the union, employment laws, and/or by PPCWNY’s policies, and procedures. Assist with daily HR operations, such as file maintenance, employment verifications, and triages HR requests. Coordinates internal surveys to gather feedback on the new hire experience, and collaborates with key leaders to raise concerns and implement changes Provides backup support to ensure timely receipt of licenses, certifications, and training documents from all licensed staff; track and obtain new documents upon expiration Other Accountability Activities Participates in and attends meetings and seminars as requested. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems. Supports and participates in affiliate initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned by HR department leadership. Requirements Qualifications Applicants must possess the following qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience): Education— Associate’s degree in business administration, human resources, communications, or related field or an equivalent combination of experience and education Experience— Minimum two (2) years of experience in hiring and interviewing, preferably in a human resources department, with one (1) year of experience recruiting for healthcare and/or in a social service environment. Experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), including Applicant Tracking System (ATS) required; experience with Paylocity a plus. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint required, intermediate skill level or above preferred. Knowledgeable about confidentiality requirements and strictly adheres to them. Ability to recognize transferable skills and how they may qualify an individual for a position. Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-making capabilities. Ability to communicate effectively, including ability to seek clarification, provide clarification, communicate next steps, and confirm plans were followed through to completion. Ability to independently compose email communications, offer letters, and draft documents that are clear, concise, and follow business grammar/formatting standards.
