Inventory Clerk

Basic Function : Pull and issue material from company inventory to support product builds, and engineering efforts and support manufacturing processes. Stock up material from incoming inspection, WIP close out, and customer returns. Maintain accurate inventory records by entering material movement in the computer system and/or scanner. Investigate and identify inventory discrepancies.

Significant Responsibilities:

Performs specific job responsibilities:

  • Accepts, sorts, and places raw materials into warehouse stock, ensuring proper count, identification, and placement.
  • Ensures all documentation is accurate, in order, and processed timely.
  • Ensure all packages and stock are labeled correctly.
  • Performs cycle counts and records and reports discrepancies to supervisor.
  • Works with planning to ensure that material is moved in a timely manner, enabling production to meet customer demands.
  • Reads work orders or inventory requisition forms to determine inventory to be adjusted.
  • Uses computer or scanner to add and remove material from inventory and assign locations to finished goods inventory.
  • Keeps inventory accurate and neat. Consolidates inventory where possible and works with supervisor to efficiently allocate space.
  • Uses computer to choose inventory to fill stock orders.
  • Prepares stock room and all other inventory for quarterly and yearly physical inventory counts.
  • Utilizes and follows quality policy and operating procedures to ensure the quality and consistency of the job being performed.
  • Conducts all activities in accordance with the safety procedures and guidelines.

Job Scope

Minimum Qualifications Required:

Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Must have a minimum of 1 year of inventory experience.

Essential Skills, Abilities & Knowledge: Utilize Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Must have good analytical and interpersonal skills, including excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Able to organize, prioritize, complete tasks, and manage time. Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Must be a self-starter. Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision. Pays close attention to detail with the ability to complete assignments accurately. Good math and handwriting skills are required and the ability to correctly complete all documentation. Ability to read and understand work orders, pick lists, sales orders, and Bills of Materials. Ability to read and follow basic instructions, ability to understand and implement quality procedures. Ability to recognize and help resolve problems.

ABOUT THE JOB

The IT Applications Manager for Warehouse Management Systems will leverage people, processes and technologies to deliver high performing, WMS solutions for the logistics business. This person will serve as the primary point of contact for any WMS IT projects and enhancements as well as act as the escalation point for production issues. Success in this role requires a solid technical foundation as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate well with business stakeholders and other IT functions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Oversee the operations of the WMS technology team and any 3rd party service providers. Ensure resources are fully leveraged and deliver high quality solutions.
  • Serve as the IT stakeholder for WMS related projects and partner with the PMO to ensure there is proper resource allocation and there is business alignment to scope.
  • Lead regular prioritization and backlog review meetings with the business stakeholders; ensure roadmaps and release schedules align to business priorities.

  • Ensure end-user, system documentation is updated and complete and work with the business leads to ensure there is continuity between business standard operating procedure and system documentation.
  • Oversee and maintain the budget for all WMS technologies including software licensing, software maintenance, hardware devices and 3rd party service providers.
  • Ensure adherence to GSF’s IT policies and procedure such as production change approval, software development lifecycle, and production outage escalation. (75%)

  • Manage the workload for direct reports. Ensure work items are being completed in a timely manner.
  • Perform regular one-on-ones to ensure there is a frequent and open line of communication with each team member.
  • Set tactical, strategic and career growth goals for each team member. Perform ad-hoc and annual performance reviews.
  • Foster a productive and effective environment by practicing service-oriented leadership; provide clarity, clear roadblocks and provide resources.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

The Supply Chain Analyst will help determine opportunities to automate, standardize and support business processes and functions across the business unit and various technologies. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Serve as business/technical subject matter expert (SME) for various technologies utilized across Warehouse, Distribution and Transportation (e.g., TruBlu fleet) teams to ensure safe and efficient operations. Provide business/technical support to Corporate, Supply Chain, Distribution Center personnel for Supply Chain system initiatives, including testing and implementing new technologies, functionality, or system or user enhancements. Support future system upgrades and execution of new functionality. Develop standardized processes and procedures for the proper use and application of all technologies. Assist with the development of KPIs and measurement tools. Develop standardized reporting / dashboards as per business needs. Determine opportunities to redesign business processes to achieve better business results. Document and publish detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials for technologies. Provide on-going training to the Distribution/Transportation teams as required. This may consist of either remote and/or on-site training as required. Lead technical meetings and discussions Manage master data as required Audit various technologies to ensure that master data is being updated, maintained and proper procedures are being followed. Work with internal department (e.g., Tango) to source and/or order cell phones and tablets for truck fleet drivers and management/support staff. Work with Finance to review and process monthly cell phone invoices. Monitor cell phone charges for extensive use and notify Distribution/Transportation management. Resolve any errors or billing issues with outside service providers. Assist in distribution center vehicle management with regards to current inventory and future needs based on patient / clinic / territory changes and realignments. Builds productive working relationships. May provide assistance to junior level staff with general tasks that require a better understanding of functions, as directed by immediate supervisor. May refer to senior level staff for assistance with higher level problems that may arise. Escalates issues to supervisor/manager for resolution, as deemed necessary. Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations. Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor. Other duties as assigned.

About the Role

Procurement Managers, Parts are members of the Direct Procurement Team that are dedicated to support teammates managing multiple markets to ensure that our front-line teammates are supplied with the goods and services they need while also achieving departmental key performance indicators. Procurement Manager, Parts supports the team in identifying and aligning supplier relationships, establishing favorable terms, negotiating best-in-industry discounts, and providing overall support to teammates in the markets they support. An individual who will be successful in this role is proactive, service focused, capable of building strong relationships, able to negotiate, detail oriented, organized, and promotes strong team engagement.

Essential Job Duties

  • Manage a team responsible for over $200M in spend across assigned operational territory.
  • Provide direct leadership, strategic direction, and career development coaching to eight (8) teammates.
  • Support teammates in performing other procurement-related functions within their market including but not limited to spend analysis, requirements gathering, ad hoc and/or non-strategic sourcing, supplier selection, pricing and contract negotiations, and supplier performance management.
  • Identify opportunities to shift volumes towards suppliers that positively improve Caliber's bottom line while at the same time ensuring departmental metrics are met.
  • High-level knowledge and collaboration with teammates regarding regular updates to market leadership on activity in their markets pertaining to parts margin, discount negotiations, buy/sell of parts suppliers, and potential part supplier opportunities as it pertains to center performance.
  • Evaluate overall strategies to ensure that each aspect of Supply Chain is efficient and cost effective as possible.
  • Regularly develop and present methods for avoiding costs and improving business growth.
  • Further build upon and maintain the relationships with partners that Parts Specialists must negotiate competitive discounts and low returns.
  • Support senior leaders and key stakeholders through analysis of performance metrics to drive revenue.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports regarding negotiations, cost avoidance, and parts margin.
  • Partners with various departments to meet team goals while delivering exceptional customer service to front line teammates and our parts suppliers.
  • Continuous research of opportunities to streamline processes and achieve maximum productivity within the team.
  • Act as an escalation point of contact for approximately 500-600 centers that the Parts Specialists support in their respective regions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams on process development and process improvement.
  • Provide training, documentation, and other assistance to support and expand the use of Supply Chain tools.
  • Seek professional and personal development opportunities, including training and use of outside resources.


Skills/Requirements:
  • Possesses strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and develop teams. Experience with mentoring, coaching, and applying feedback required.
  • Ability to negotiate and avoid increased costs by building strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Able to navigate within gray areas and communicate effectively while arriving at the best possible solution while maintaining Caliber's Core Values.
  • Aptitude for displaying time management skills, organizational planning, and project management.
  • Familiarity with collision industry-specific platforms such as CCC1, Mitchell, and OPS is likewise preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications, specific to Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the experience to think strategically.
  • Automotive industry experience is preferred but not required

What you will do in this role:
+ Deliver supplies in an accurate and timely manner
+ Is authorized to transport and deliver legend drugs, non-prescription drugs, contrast media and drug-containing devices relative to core competencies of the position
+ Place safety stock in proper location
+ Receive expedited deliveries, accurately key receiving into the SMART system, and deliver to appropriate department(s)
+ Receive all cross-docked items into the SMART system as appropriate
+ Review Min/Max for storeroom safety stock daily and place orders appropriately
+ Count par level areas (POU areas) weekly according to schedule
+ Ensure POU items have the appropriate barcodes
+ Perform QA random checks on totes per approved policy
+ Rotate stock in POU areas and backup storeroom areas to ensure no items are out of date
+ Check after-hour logs for charges and determine how to avoid reoccurrence
+ React appropriately to POU "critical point" messages and stock outs
+ Process all "returns to vendor" or "returns to backup stock" appropriately
+ Provide assistance to the POU Station personnel as well as provide assistance with problems, questions and concerns at the nurses stations
What qualifications you will need:
