The Social Media Strategist is a full-time position responsible for inspiring Northwestern constituents to engage with the universitys programs and offerings through various social media channels. The role supports institutional marketing efforts with key day-to-day tactics from a B2C perspective.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Execute Social Media Strategy: Create and implement data-informed social media strategies that align with the universitys marketing and enrollment goals, ensuring brand consistency across all platforms.
  2. Content Planning and Creation: Collaborate with creative and digital teams to plan, produce, and publish high-quality, engaging content tailored to each platform and audience.
  3. Community Engagement and Reputation Management: Manage university-owned social media accounts, fostering active engagement through timely responses, conversations, and proactive community building with students, alumni, and external audiences.
  4. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track key metrics (e.g., engagement, reach, conversions), analyze campaign performance, and regularly present insights and recommendations to optimize social media impact.
  5. Advertising and Campaign Management: Manage paid social campaigns, including budget oversight, A/B testing, and performance tracking to support awareness, lead generation, and enrollment initiatives.
  6. Trend Monitoring and Platform Innovation: Stay current on higher education and industry trends, platform updates, and emerging tools to inform strategy and recommend new approaches for audience engagement.
  7. Brand Oversight and Social Media Governance: Audit and guide department-level accounts to ensure brand alignment, compliance with university standards, and strategic consistency.
  8. Student Staff Supervision and Development: Hire, mentor, and manage student workers to support content creation, engagement, and other social media initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

**Job Summary**
The Social Media Manager - Center of Excellence is a strategic leader responsible for developing and advancing the social media strategies for Baylor Scott & White Health's sub-brands, partners, and local teams across the organization. This role provides expert guidance to social channel operators in crafting best-in-class channel strategies, producing and publishing engaging content, and ensuring adherence to brand standards and social media best practices. + Lead content ideation and development for sub-brands and partners in collaboration with internal teams, including written content and creative assets that are on-strategy and foster engagement

PURPOSE:

Mall of America is looking for a motivated and creative Public Relations + Social Media Intern to join our team. This internship provides valuable, hands-on experience in promoting Mall of America through storytelling, content creation, and public relations efforts. The intern will support the team by drafting media materials, producing photo and video content, monitoring social media platforms, and engaging with Mall guests to address inquiries. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for social media, and a desire to uphold Mall of America's reputation as the premier retail and entertainment destination.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Assist with content creation for Mall of America, Nickelodeon Universe, and Crayola Experience social media channels.
  • Monitor and engage with content across social media channels.
  • Contribute to writing media advisories and press releases that highlight the latest happenings and exciting events at Mall of America.
  • Assist with guest engagement via social media by responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and responding in a timely manner.
  • Work alongside the PR team to track media coverage, respond to inquiries, assist media crews onsite, and help coordinate in-studio segments.
  • Help secure media coverage for events, stores, attractions, restaurants, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Support MOA influencer program by identifying potential creators, curating influencer packages, and assist with campaign communications.
  • Generate creative ideas for social media content, PR strategies, influencer campaigns, media stories, and episodes for Mall of America's podcast, So Much More.
  • Maintain an understanding of online trends, including pop culture, influencers, industry developments, and media coverage, to identify opportunities and insights that impact Mall of America.
  • Reflect MOA voice and tone in all communications.

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
  • Degree in or pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or Liberal Arts.

We are seeking a dedicated Media and Social Marketing Manager. In this role you will assist the Brand Media team in the operational execution of paid media campaigns across channels including but not limited to Paid Search and Social. Serves all external media needs corporate-wide to ensure completion of the marketing strategy through the development and implementation of media planning, buying, and campaign optimization. Ensures paid media is scheduled and delivered according to the marketing plan and complies with the organization's marketing standards. + Contributes to the development and optimization of digital, social and traditional media strategies; and may develop moderately complex single-channel media strategies.
+ Collaborates with Media Team to translate business intelligence and internal client objectives prior to guiding media agencies.
+ Collaborates with internal stakeholders to understand the parameters for developing media strategies.
+ Socializes media recommendations (ie, explains rationale for media strategy and how it meets business objectives and adheres to media best practices).
+ Ensures media plans are implemented correctly and in a timely manner.
+ Assists in the management of budget plans.
+ Serves as a resource to team members on matters of a routine nature.
+ Applies foundational knowledge of social and digital marketing principles.
