As the Advanced Industrial Manufacturing & Controls Engineer , you will be responsible for SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) project management and implementation across the Aerospace SBU. This position is a Hybrid role working three (3) days a week onsite at one of our facilities and two (2) days a week remote. The primary sites that you will be reporting too will our Mojave, CA facility or our Sylmar, CA location as needed.
This is a Hybrid role and you will report to the Process Engineer Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Participating as a team member in a specific phase of an engineering assignment; directing preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects; providing technical leadership to a small group of temporarily assigned engineers and technicians
- Develop RFQs, SOW and directly manage vendors and contractors, plan and execute the totality of the project, direct workflow reviews as needed, and coordinate equipment installation.
- Field supervision of employees and contractors, improving labor relations, and leading inter-disciplinary teams.
- Project and special process documentation, including technical writing of standard operating procedures (SOP), operations manuals, and training documentation.
- Assist with capital budgeting and fiscal control of projects, justifying ROA/ROE/ROI, total bid process including bidder lists and bid comparison, strategic cost avoidance and reduction
- Implementation of aerospace strategic SCADA throughout the SBU. This includes hardware and software selection and installation. Keep each facilities SCADA system up to date, standardized from facility to facility and work with manufacturing departments at each facility to develop real time display of metrics.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen required
- Bachelor's degree in Software, Manufacturing, Engineering, or equivalent work experience & certifications is required
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Experience with GE Proficy a Plus
- Knowledge of PLC's is required
- Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC is a plus
- Five (5) or more years of experience with project management in an industrial capacity required

The base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000 based on experience and education.

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer to join our Laboratory Automation team within Analytical Sciences. In this role, you will work closely with the Associate Director of Lab Automation to implement and optimize laboratory automation technologies for cell-based assays, immuno-assays and genomic assays. You will play a critical role in developing and maintaining automated systems that enhance assay robustness, improve workflow efficiency, and ensure data quality for our novel engineered cell therapy products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automation solutions for immunology cell-based assays and genomic assays
- Program, test, and maintain Hamilton VANTAGE and other liquid handler workstations
- Develop and optimize scripts for liquid handling platforms to support complex bioassay workflows
- Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and IT specialists to translate manual processes into automated workflows
- Troubleshoot and maintain automated systems to ensure optimal performance
- Support method transfer of automated assays to Quality Control and external partners
- Document automation procedures through SOPs, user manuals, and technical reports
- Train laboratory personnel on automation systems and technologies
- Evaluate new automation technologies for potential implementation
- Come up with automation instrument maintenance program and execute/collect QC data for user/operator's benefit
- BS/MS in Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with laboratory automation systems
- In-depth expertise with Hamilton liquid handling platforms and Venus software
- Practical knowledge in developing integrated automation workflow using scheduling software (Cellario, GreenButtonGo, Genera, or similar)
- Proficiency in programming languages (Python, C++, or similar)
- Experience with cell culture techniques, immunological assays, and flow cytometry
- Knowledge of GMP regulations and experience working in a regulated environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong documentation and communication abilities
- Experience with process optimization and statistical analysis
- Experience with multi-parametric flow cytometry automation

The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $ /em>112,164.00 - 168,246.00 USD, either as annual base pay or as the hourly rate (annual base pay divided by 2080 hours)). Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer with 6+ years of experience in Software Functional Testing and 4-7 years of expertise in Selenium . The ideal candidate will lead system integration testing, ensure adherence to quality standards, and develop AI-specific automated testing frameworks. This role requires expertise in Agile methodologies, test automation tools, and AI model evaluation using LLMs and RAG architectures .
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct system integration testing for new and enhanced applications.
- Develop and execute automated tests using Selenium and other industry-standard tools.
- Collaborate with project teams to establish plans, standards, and procedures that optimize testing efforts.
- Ensure on-time delivery by monitoring dependencies, progress, and milestones.
- Educate business and development teams on the testing methodology, with a focus on end-to-end quality assurance.
- Lead project and quality management initiatives, including issue tracking and communication.
- Optimize resource utilization by assisting the Testing Manager in reviewing forecasting reports.
- Ensure compliance with Agile methodologies, maintaining detailed process documentation.

- Implement automated testing frameworks for Gen AI applications, such as DeepEval and RAGAs.
- Develop custom validation scripts for evaluating AI model accuracy, relevance, and faithfulness.
- Test prompt engineering techniques to refine AI-generated responses.
- Execute SQL queries in Snowflake to validate database integrity and application responses.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of experience in Software Functional Testing with automation expertise in Selenium.
- Experience with Jira and ALM for test and issue tracking.
- Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in AI testing frameworks such as LangChain, Pytest, and PyTorch.
- Hands-on expertise in LLM & RAG architecture testing using vector databases.
