Job Description and Responsibilities

EVRAZ North America is looking for a Process Automation Engineer to join our Maintenance team at our plant located in Pueblo, Colorado. The Process Automation Engineer is responsible for developing new industrial processes and designing new process plants and equipment or modifying existing ones in an industrial setting.

• Support rolling mills and steelmaking production and maintenance at highly automated steel manufacturing plant
• Design, develop, and implement control systems (hardware & software) to improve production times, steel quality, equipment performance, energy consumption, down-time reduction, and process automation
• Obtain complete understanding of company process control systems and their impact on the production line beginning with scrap melting through refining steel, liquid to solid transformation and finished product
• Make recommendations for development action; analyze, modify and improve programmable logic controllers (PLC) and human-machine interfaces (HMI)
• Design and monitor performance indicators, create the necessary bridges between control site and company information systems
• Provide on-going maintenance support and resolution of process control system problems, including taking ownership of such problems to completion
• Write requirements specifications, and high-level design and systems architecture specifications related to control of steel production processes
• Project management responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Automated Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent technical education
• 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience must include working with Allen-Bradley PLC, drives, HMI software and hardware and ability to read equipment drawings (hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, etc.)
• Strong computer skills in MS Excel, Projects and PowerPoint
  Proven teamwork, communication (oral and written), administrative and organizational skills
• Proven problem solving and analytical skills
• Must be available to be on call and assist personnel in times of emergency and business needs

Job Description:

At Regions, the Robotics Process Automation (RPA) Developer designs and develops robotics process automation solutions utilizing various technology components. This position is responsible for the delivery of the full lifecycle for robotics process automation solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of a robotics process automation solution

• Works directly with business process owners and technology resources during automation development projects

• Analyzes business processes and formulates comprehensive plans for delivery of an automation solution

• Leads the discovery, development, testing, and implementation activities to deliver complex automation solutions using the UiPath platform

• Measures the efficiency and effectiveness of RPA solutions

• Triages and performs troubleshooting for identified issues with automation processes

• Trains and assists other automation team members in development and execution of automation scripts as needed

• May act as a procedural expert

• May lead the work of junior level associates

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field

• Five (5) years of experience building solutions using the UiPath robotics process automation platform

• Deep understanding of the UiPath robotics process automation platform components, including Orchestrator, Document Understanding, and others

Skills and Competencies

• Ability to collaborate with business teams, vendor resources, software engineers, information security resources and other technology teams

• Ability to learn additional systems as needed

• Ability to translate complex problems and processes into effective automation solutions with consideration for system limitations and performance requirements

• Ability to work in a team environment when applicable

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Ability to write test plans/scripts and run unit tests

• Demonstrated ability to write and refine user stories and develop code according to acceptance criteria

• Demonstrated understanding of Information Systems and Software Development best practices

• Experience building integrations with APIs and databases

• Experience utilizing reusable libraries and code

• Experience with code repository and versioning tools, including Git and TFS

This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. This position must be within a reasonable driving distance to Birmingham, AL, Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC. Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on, solutions-driven Process & Automation Specialist to lead small to medium-scale automation and equipment projects from concept through completion. In this role, you’ll serve as the facility expert for troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving complex systems and processes. You’ll collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance teams to identify issues, develop solutions, and drive continuous improvement across operations. Responsibilities include project management, equipment design, contractor coordination, and training plant personnel on automation systems. Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00AM - 4:00PM

What you need to be considered for the role:

• 2 Year / Associate Degree or 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in a related technical field required. An equivalent level of experience may be considered.

• Minimum of seven (7) years related Maintenance experience and/or training/schooling required.

• Manufacturing experience required.

• Advanced math skills.

• Advanced problem solving skills.

• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office and EAM.

• Advanced mechanical knowledge (machine guarding, drive belt installation & alignment, seal replacements, etc.).

• Advanced pneumatic & hydraulic knowledge (replace and repair; check valves; filter assembly, etc.)

• Project management skills.

• Must have an understanding and a proven working knowledge of electrical, electronic, component control, pneumatic, and hydraulic concepts, installations, and troubleshooting.

• Forklift Certified.

• Lock Out / Tag Out Certified.
