A full-time position for a Process Automation System (PAS) Engineer is available based within the Kingsport, Knoxville or Chattanooga, TN area. Using your expertise, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of automation projects.
You will serve as the Lead Technical point of contact between the Project Manager and the technical disciplines involved in the project execution.

As a PAS Engineer, you will support the sales and proposals teams in the pursuit of new business opportunities by utilizing your skills and experience. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Ensure delivery of projects

Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science plus 5-10 years of experience with process control.
  • Advanced knowledge of DeltaV DCS System, preferably in a senior or lead capacity.
  • Experience working with both software and hardware.
  • Experience in an industrial automation project delivery environment including field support.
  • Proficient in creating and maintaining detailed documentation, including control system designs, technical specification, and project reports
  • Strong understanding of process controls and experience implementing and optimizing control strategies.
  • Excellent communications skills - both written and verbal
  • Able to relate well to others, including team members, peers, senior leaders and customers.
  • Working knowledge with word and spreadsheet programs.

Responsibilities:
+ Implement automated processes. Inspection, pick and place, sorting, vision systems, etc.

+ Knowledge of miniature resistance welding and plating processes is a plus.

+ Review code developed by other RPA Developers to ensure compliance with internal controls, security, and audit requirements.
+ Create and document test cases for negative scenarios, to document workflow behavior when certain systems malfunction, as well as performance scenarios, to stress test systems behavior.
+ Monitor test scenarios outcomes and ensure the timely resolution of errors throughout development, testing, and post-implementation.

**Job Description:**
At Regions, the Robotics Process Automation (RPA) Developer designs and develops robotics process automation solutions utilizing various technology components. This position is responsible for the delivery of the full lifecycle for robotics process automation solutions.
**Primary Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of a robotics process automation solution
+ Works directly with business process owners and technology resources during automation development projects
+ Analyzes business processes and formulates comprehensive plans for delivery of an automation solution
+ Leads the discovery, development, testing, and implementation activities to deliver complex automation solutions using the UiPath platform
+ Measures the efficiency and effectiveness of RPA solutions
+ Triages and performs troubleshooting for identified issues with automation processes
+ Trains and assists other automation team members in development and execution of automation scripts as needed

+ May lead the work of junior level associates

**Requirements**
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
+ Five (5) years of experience building solutions using the UiPath robotics process automation platform
+ Deep understanding of the UiPath robotics process automation platform components, including Orchestrator, Document Understanding, and others

Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on, solutions-driven Process & Automation Specialist to lead small to medium-scale automation and equipment projects from concept through completion. In this role, you’ll serve as the facility expert for troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving complex systems and processes. You’ll collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance teams to identify issues, develop solutions, and drive continuous improvement across operations. Responsibilities include project management, equipment design, contractor coordination, and training plant personnel on automation systems. What you need to be considered for the role:

  • Minimum of seven (7) years related Maintenance experience and/or training/schooling required.

  • Manufacturing experience required.

  • Advanced math skills.

**Description**
Develop, facilitate approval, and execute deployment of improvement plans that enhance company value through production gains delivered through the effective use of process automation (PA). This effort includes staff development programs, enhanced strategies and practices for optimizing control systems and process control performance, and identification and implementation of fit-for-purpose PA solutions supporting strategic initiatives across all FCX sites world-wide.
+ Identify and champion process automation (PA) staff development program throughout the corporation. Programs should be specifically aimed at ensuring that PA staff have the required competencies to meet the business objectives. This involves having and regularly updating PA staff training program and managing associated resources. A key aspect of this function is facilitating regular communication and collaboration with site PA leads, supporting groups, external parties, and the management team.
+ Create consistency and standardization throughout the organization with regards to control systems, process control and automation. This includes assisting sites with transition from antiquated and obsolete systems to implementation and configuration of latest platforms to be able to best optimize existing control assets, The position would also identify and promote industry best practices and implement these by working with site teams and other corporate based functions.
+ Identify, develop, recommend, and implement fit-for-purpose process automation (PA) solutions of company strategic initiatives related to process measurement, control and optimization. This includes collaborating with internal and external parties to develop a novel device and/or technique or select existing ones to better control and optimize a process.
+ Maintain and expand network of contacts in industry focused on process automation. Actively participates in relevant industry events, conferences, training. Stay up to date with the latest advancements and trends and recommending new practices or changes to programs based on state of practice developments.
+ Perform other duties as requested.
**Qualifications**
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related field, AND ten (10) years of experience in mineral process control engineering related fields
+ Experience using regulatory and advanced process control applications and relevant tools
+ Operating and process control background; ideally having worked in metallurgy engineering, plant operations, process control, and IT groups
+ Understanding of the processes that are being optimized, the in-plant equipment that sends the signals to the control system, the maintenance practices that are required to calibrate and maintain the signals, the practices required to program and optimize the process, and an understanding of the computer hardware that is controlling the system
+ Understand the IT compliance issues and can communicate with the IT specialist relative to their technical expertise
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Strong project management skills
+ Energetic and able to be highly effective in a team environment
+ Skill in effective communication, both verbal and written
+ Ability to travel through the USA and internationally
Preferred Qualifications:
