Responsibilities:
  • Provides support on HVAC construction job by reading and interpreting blueprints as needed by foreman to ensure a timely and quality completion of the project.
  • Provides the required laying out of the roof penetrations and ducting; and, laying out of the sheet metal fittings as directed by the foreman .
  • Provides assistance to the Construction foreman as needed on the job.
  • Provides support by coordinating and following job schedules; i.e., labor hours, and material costs.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as assigned by management
Qualifications:
  • HVAC Sheet Metal Installation Knowle dge
  • Knowledge of sheet metal installation and piping of commercial HVAC units .
  • Knowledge of plumbing and pipe fittings, and ability to perform sheet metal assembly .
  • Knowledge of and ability to read blueprints on HVAC refrigeration, electrical and plumbing.
  • Ability to hang evaporation coils and install overhead hangers.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools and good mechanical skills.
  • Knowledge of jobsite safety, ability to oversee work activities to ensure safe work practices and safety rule compliance.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • High school diploma and trade or technical school classes; 4+ years experience in the construction industry, and hands on field experience in commercial HVAC construction; and major market remodeling.
  • Knowledge of commercial HVAC construction products and tools.
  • Knowledge of refrigeration equipment
  • Knowledge of blueprints, detailing HVAC duct fittings.

**Responsibilities include:**
+ Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems
+ Monitor HVAC systems and operations and ensure that routine preventive maintenance performs according to established schedules and standards
+ Respond to hot and cold calls, then troubleshoot and resolve issues
+ Check, repairs and/or replaces valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, pipes, and other functional components of the system
+ Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
+ Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
**What You Bring:**
+ Successful candidates will be team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and nurturers of a healthy/safe working environment for all.
+ 1 or more years of related work experience.
+ Holds appropriate license/certification for the specific work to be done in the city and state in which the work will be done. Minimum requirement is EPA CFC Universal Certificate.
+ Working knowledge of a variety of HVAC systems, including chilled water systems, variable air, variable refrigerant flow, single/multi-split and other commercial systems.
+ May be required to have previous BMS experience if working in a commercial environment.
+ Additional Requirements: Possess a valid driver's license

+ Proficient in the latest repair and maintenance techniques related to the equipment.
+ Basic computer skills needed to navigate our systems.
+ Willing to be on an 24/7 "On Call Rotation".
+ Clean DMV record.
+ Willing to drive personal vehicle to complete daily assignments.
**Skills/Experience:**
+ Ability to accurately troubleshoot and identify temperature issues, equipment failures and condensation leaks through the buildings.
+ Ability to navigate and control HVAC units and devices through the Building Automation System.
+ Ability to read and understand commercial building blueprints.
+ Interface with internal customers and relay information related to the systems affecting their comfort.
+ Interface contractors, consultants to provide specific information related to a project or issue, and recommendations.
+ Should also have basic electrical skills
