**A Typical Day for You May Include:**
+ **Assistant Manager Career Growth & Development:** The development program lasts approximately 12 months and includes structured training with mentorship and leadership guidance. Upon completion, you'll have an additional six months to advance into an **Assistant Manager** position.
+ **Learn Operations Management:** Over the course of the program, gain hands-on experience in operational production, including financial, regulatory, administrative, marketing, quality, facilities, and people management. Gain exposure to real-world challenges such as audit processes, compliance requirements, and team performance management.
+ **Production Environment & Customer Service:** Contribute to donor floor operations and ensure exceptional customer service by assisting with production tasks while maintaining strict regulatory compliance and safety standards.
+ **Develop Leadership and Employee Relations Skills:** Work alongside a diverse team and practice team member selection, performance feedback, and collaboration. Build foundational skills in mentoring, feedback delivery, and fostering an inclusive environment, preparing you for managing teams at various organizational levels.
+ **Contribute to Creating Life-Changing Medicines:** Learn how to maintain BioLife's quality and safety standards to achieve production and cost goals while ensuring compliance with regulations and BioLife SOPs.
+ **Networking (Travel) Opportunities:** Embark on an exciting journey through our comprehensive travel package. You'll explore BioLife locations nationwide, expanding your professional network and learning from our talented team members at various centers.
+ **Relocation:** Upon completing the program and earning a promotion to a management position, you will need to relocate to one of BioLife's locations.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent leadership experience (approximately 3 years)
+ Willingness to travel up to 85% (program dependent)
+ Ability to relocate upon securing an Assistant Manager role through an application process
+ Valid CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain during the program)
+ Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
+ Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
+ Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
+ Ability to frequently lift up to 32 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
+ Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to monitor equipment from a distance
+ Due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1), 90% of work tasks require prolonged glove wear
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Familiarity with SOPs, GDP, GMP, CLIA, and FDA regulations
+ Experience working in a regulated industry or high-compliance environment

**U.S. Base Salary Range:**
$54,400.00 - $74,800.00

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Manager (HRM) provides comprehensive Human Resources (HR) expertise to MPC's Transport and Rail (T&R) operations in areas such as employee/labor relations, staffing, compensation, and benefits. The HRM also participates in business planning and strategy development for T&R. This role provides management over the team and leadership support to the T&R Human Resources Director to move overall HR initiatives for T&R operations.
This position is open to all MPC locations that suit business needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Provides strategic business partnering to T&R business unit leaders to support business objectives, including direction and counsel on employee relations and development, organizational development, workforce and succession planning, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), performance management, and other HR policies and programs.
+ Engages with teams and employees across the organization to build trust, understand concerns and opportunities, and drive continuous improvement on employee relations so that MPC will continue to be the employer of choice.
+ Responsible for the planning and implementation of HR programs, employee development and policies including staffing, compensation, employee relations, and talent management.
+ Partners with HR Centers of Excellence (CoE) to implement HR programs in support of business objectives. Oversees delivery of human resources initiatives and programs (salary allocation and other compensation programs, performance management, leadership and career development, succession planning, DEI, and benefit plans).
+ Provides guidance and counsel to HR team members on significant matters related to the application of programs, policies, and processes Consistently administers HR programs throughout MPC.
+ Performs labor relations activities for MPC where applicable, including negotiations, contract administration and other union activity, as well as ensuring continued positive employee relations at non-represented locations.
+ Responsible for the implementation and administration of established compensation programs and policies such as salary administration, bonus plans, and employee recognition awards.
+ Develops and reviews HR budget; initiates actions to ensure that budget expectations are met; reviews operating data and makes decisions on recommendations from staff and operating departments.
+ Aligns goals to T&R and MPC People Strategy and ensures that activities also support client business unit objectives.
+ Serves as Human Resources point of contact for emergency response activities as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
+ Bachelor's degree required. Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor & Industrial relations or related field.
+ Minimum of eight (8) years of broad HR experience required. Prior HR Business Partner experience is highly preferred.
+ Supervisory experience highly preferred.
+ Prior experience in petroleum, utilities, or manufacturing supporting field employees is preferred.
SKILLS:
+ Knowledge and understanding of business, HR processes, and organizational processes; with the ability to think strategically and analytically
+ Ability to develop and support a team
+ Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively
+ Result orientated with an ability to work both independently and collaboratively to meet organization needs and goals
+ Comfortable working with ambiguity and limited information and engaging clients to reach clarity
+ Ability to manage multiple projects and organization needs simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-output environment
+ Adapts seamlessly to changing priorities and deadlines
+ Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build good working relationships with internal clients and external partners
+ High curiosity; eager to learn and understand a wide range of energy industry, business, and creative subject matter
+ Advanced experience with relationship management (building healthy working relations and partnerships with all level of employees)
+ Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
+ Attention-to-detail, analytical and team oriented.
TRAVEL:
+ 25% - 30% Travel is required throughout the year to meet with clients and other key stakeholders, travel can increase throughout the year as business needs required.
