Job Description

The Buyer is responsible for coordinating purchasing activities with production control, operations/manufacturing, and engineering teams to acquire inventory in the most cost effective and timely manner. This individual will be responsible for acquiring and maintaining a technical understanding of products purchased and will perform volume planning for major commodities. Will monitor and report on purchase price variances and will evaluate supplier reliability regarding on time delivery.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Managing day-to-day inventory planning for respective products.
  • Processing Oracle MRP output, processing Planned Orders in a timely manner to support demand.
  • Tracking open purchase orders and expediting materials.
  • Rescheduling and Expediting production and service material PO's to meet customer delivery goals.
  • Following up on purchase orders, quotes for production material. Placing purchase orders as needed for assigned commodities and suppliers.
  • Initiating and following through on any supplier date changes and working through appropriate channels to resolve issues and get material delivered on time.
  • Assisting and facilitating the prompt disposition of non-conforming materials from assigned commodities.
  • Communicating supplier performance, particularly On Time Delivery and Quality, including supplier visits as required.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, related work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Buyer role
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in scheduling, material requirements planning, inventory management, risk management, supplier relationship management and manufacturing resource planning
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • MRP (Materials Requirements Planning) experience required (Oracle Cloud is preferred).
  • Previous experience in a high technology manufacturing environment managing a wide range of mechanical commodity areas and related suppliers preferred.
  • APICS CPIM and/or CPP certification is preferred.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of Lean principles and Kanban utilization preferred.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Good business negotiation skills.
  • Team player with the highest level of customer focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage conflict by identifying and handling conflicts in a sensible, fair, and efficient manner.

Compensation
Base Salary Range: $66,255.97 USD to $89,640.43 USD

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

For more than 15 years, customer have trusted us for our innovative problem solving combined with holistic design, engineering, manufacturing, logistic and global support services.Job Title: Supply Chain Analyst IVLocation: US - CA - FremontJob Description: Supply Chain Analyst IV The NPI Material Management team within the NPI Program Management team is responsible for teaming with our supply chain partners to build, deliver, and enable Meta's AI,Compute and Storage, and Network infrastructure. Meta's computing foundation is its Data Centers, and key strategic partnerships with Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) across the Hyperscaler industry are a crucial piece in building and operationalizing this infrastructure.The team is responsible for managing the delivery of NPI programs, by ensuring material readiness, build readiness and on-time-delivery of the hardware.This requires a dynamic approach to work to unlock challenges on tactical (ex. supply), strategic (ex. Supply chain strategy), ODM, and Meta initiatives.The team is inherently dynamic, requiring coordination across engineering, NPI, and mass production teams all within the program timeline.Put simply: this team is composed of flexible problem solvers who build relationships both within- and beyond Meta to achieve industry-leading performance and pave the way for Meta's AI-enabled infrastructure. Summary: The NPI Material Program Manager will play a critical role in ensuring timely delivery of materials to Meta ODM partners, enabling the delivery of NPI hardware to our Data Centers and Supply Chain partners.You are fast, action-oriented, and will be responsible for managing the material readiness for builds within your program/s, optimizing internal and external NPI supply chain processes, and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Collaborate on the Tracking/Closure of material shortages based on CTB report and urgent requests from ODM.Proactively identify supply chain risks, create mitigation strategies, and drive to closure.Work with NPI core team and ISCE to drive program supply chain strategy Manage Purchase Order process to ODM for Rack Hardware, L10, loose demand & NRE. Drive Quote from ODM, track PO status and hardware landing confirmation to close PO.Work with commodity managers, finance, logistics, and procurement operations to understand and unblock blockers and mitigate Partner with ODM to drive program spend tracking of CAPEX/OPEX, materials and NRE to Budget.Own and track the delivery of purchased goods, tracking shipments and communicating with cross functional teams Drive ODM PO Issuance for NPI requirements within the est. standard lead time to align with program build readiness.Highlight and raise material risks to program core team Own ODM engagement to clarify demand + Supply based changes/updates to the program Plan of Record Assist in NPI supply chain process improvement,identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and driving standardization and lean process to enhance NPI engagement.Engage with internal and external partners and vendors to align demand expectations and material requirements to meet build readiness timelines Minimum Qualification Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.Experience in procurement, operations, or supply chain management, preferably in the technology industry.Ability to dive deep into complex data sets, distill key findings, and inform strategic decisions that drive business outcomes.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to adapt to changing business needs and prioritize workload to focus on dynamic business objectives.Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Experience establishing working relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and partners across different time zones. Preferred qualifications Program/project management experience managing end to end program delivery from concept to execution to stabilizationAn interest, or previous exposure to, computer manufacturing, production, and configuration.An ability to rapidly understand the terminology, and configuration components, within the hardware domainExperience interfacing with internal & external partners in an entrepreneurial and cross-functional environment, requiring a latitude for independent judgment while coordinating people and technical resources. Mandatory SkillsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. Experience in procurement, operations, or supply chain management, preferably in the technology industry.
