Job Description

Reporting to the Engineering Manager in Denmark, the Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of components and sub systems for small electric vehicles used primarily in the golf, utility and consumer markets.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of different vehicle systems that will allow them to develop their overall vehicle knowledge while continuing to develop their engineering skills. This role will support NPD, Sustaining, Benchmarking and Innovation programs for the Engineering team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work on the sustaining projects and support engineering teams in NPD and other engineering projects.
  • Participating and presenting concept reviews, design reviews and other technical discussions with global team through mail and telephone conference.
  • Analyzing and interpreting relevant legislation including EU regulations for manufacture and production of road legal vehicles (Homologation, CoC, certification, decals etc.).
  • Utilizing standard specifications and datasheets as per requirements.
  • Testing and validation of design concepts in house and through specialist partners and test facilities.
  • Managing engineering documentation (drawings, bill of material, PCR and specifications).
  • Estimating project timelines and completing assigned projects on time while adhering to engineering standards & process.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • BSc or higher qualification in mechanical, electrical automotive engineering or equivalent technical field of study.
  • 3 years of experience in mechanical product design and development.
  • Expertise in product & assembly design for different manufacturing processes.
  • Experience using CAD software preferably 3D Experience/Catia.
  • Experience in applying and understanding the results of Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

  • Must be proficient in English.

**Overview**
MECHANICAL ENGINEER (AT):
The Mechanical Engineer position is responsible for supporting manufacturing projects. This position combines hands-on technical work and maintenance of equipment and supplies. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with engineering drawings and quality assurance techniques, organizational skills, in depth experience with precision machining operations, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. **Responsibilities**
- Provide highly technical expertise and guidance in solving complex engineering problems
- Perform in all phases of hardware design, development, integration/implementation, and analysis
- Plan and conduct engineering feasibility studies for the design improvement modifications and implementation of advanced technologies

**Qualifications**

KBR is seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our team supporting a government client in Maryland. In this role you will be part of the acquisition management team.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Oversee mechanical system operations and maintenance, upgrades, provide project/renovation support.
+ Responsible for design, specification, selection and services relating to mechanical equipment such as rotating machinery, pressure vessels, atmospheric storage tanks, fired and unfired heat transfer equipment, utility equipment, packaged units, material handling and solids processing systems.
+ May also include design, specification, selection and services of mechanical systems for buildings such as gases, fluids, and heating, ventilating, air conditioning and vertical transportation.
+ Functions as a technical specialist who makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have a far-reaching impact on extensive engineering and related activities.
+ Negotiates critical and controversial issues with top-level engineers and officers of other organizations and companies.
+ Performs advisory and consulting work for the organization as a recognized authority for broad program areas or in an intensely specialized area.
+ Other duties as required.
Qualifications
Required:
+ Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with willingness to sit for a poly upon request
+ Minimum 5 years of experience within the IC or DoD
+ Must be a US Citizen
+ Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering
+ Must have a PE - Mechanical license
+ Must have experience in the design, specification, selection and services relating to mechanical equipment in industrial and commercial institutions.
+ Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
+ Must have experience negotiation critical and controversial issues with top-level engineers and officers of other organizations and companies.

$99,000 - $148,500
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
