Proven experience as a CAD Engineer or in a similar role. Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor. Strong understanding of engineering principles and technical design standards. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating and modifying technical drawings. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve design issues. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work in a team environment. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials is desirable. Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) software is a plus.

Our PDK team works with internal and external foundries to develop and deploy high quality PDKs on both mature and advanced nodes. This global, dynamic and fast-paced team interfaces directly with foundries and EDA tool vendors, as well as internally through foundry tech teams, packaging teams and design and layout communities to provide highly integrated, state of the art PDKs and PDK flows/solutions. The PDK is a core and essential part of all our design flows from concept to tapeout for every project.
We are looking for a Senior Engineer based out of Palm Bay, FL to enhance the team's support for our business units and take over critical activities.
**Responsibilities** :
+ Install and customize foundry PDKs and provide support for product groups.
+ Develop, maintain, test, and deploy foundry PDKs, components, and methodologies to various business units, fulfilling their specific requirements.
+ Support the circuit design and layout community with PDK-related tasks, including design migrations, frontend simulation, backend layout physical verification ( **DRC/LVS/ERC** ), **EMIR** , and layout parasitic extraction ( **PEX/QRC/StarRC** ).
+ Set up PDKs to support digital on top design methodologies.

Broadcom Central Engineering is looking for a qualified individual who can provide best-in-class development and support for Analog/Mixed Signal tool flows focused on advanced process nodes. This individual will be hands-on, heavily involved in day-to-day design/layout issues and in addition, interact with EDA vendors, the PDK development and process technology teams to provide timely solutions, and develop, maintain, and support utilities to improve productivity. If hired, the candidate is expected to be physically located in Broadcom's Irvine/San Diego or San Jose facilities in California.
**Responsibilities:**
The candidate's main responsibilities include the following:
+ Support (50%), enhance, and maintain PDKs and various Analog/Mixed-Signal design tools
+ Develop software for automation in Skill, Perl, Unix Shell scripting
+ Create documentation and provide hands-on training for design and layout engineers
+ Work with EDA vendors to track and resolve issues
+ Work with Technology Foundry teams (external/internal) to facilitate debugging and proper characterization of all tool related issues.
**Requirements:**
+ Master in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science + 10 years of EDA experience.
+ Expertise in the following CAD Tools: Virtuoso Studio 25.1, Cadence ADE-L/XL, Maestro, Spectre, Virtuoso Layout, Quantus QRC, Voltus-XFi/EMIR, EMX, and Synopsys Hspice, Primesim, StarRC, Quickcap, and Mentor Calibre/PERC
+ Solid background in programming skills, circuit design, and device physics knowledge to help solve circuit design, layout, physical verification, and post-layout extraction challenges and problems.
+ Experience in all phases of CAD tools from evaluation, QA, test, release, and user support to documentation
+ Expert in Cadence Skill, Perl, Unix Shell and utilities
+ Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, along with strong multi-tasking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team
**Additional Job Description:**
**Compensation and Benefits**
The annual base salary range for this position is $141,300 - $226,000
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.

Broadcom Central Engineering is looking for an engineer to help with the development, installation, and testing of silicon verification decks, primarily Calibre, in support of advanced FINFET and GAA technologies. Experience with Calibre and Virtuoso is essential as the position will require development of test designs. Strong programming skills in PERL, TCL, SKILL and UNIX shell languages will also be necessary as the individual will be responsible for extending or possibly replacing an existing infrastructure for regression testing, currently written in PERL. Familiarity with circuit extraction and simulation would be helpful to extend regression testing also to cover extraction tool support, primarily StarRC and HSPICE, although QRC and SPECTRE familiarity is also desirable.
Knowledge of industry EDA tool availability and capabilities in these areas is expected.
As GAA technology is involved, candidates must have the legal right to work in the US.
Responsibilities:
The candidate's general responsibilities include the following:
+ Development and deployment of Calibre decks for advanced FINFET/GAA nodes.
+ Definition of tool acceptance and certification criteria in partnership with Broadcom teams, Foundry and EDA vendors to meet high-performance IP design needs.
+ Definition and development of IP test-cases and basic test-structures to validate tools and technology related updates on predictable schedules.
+ Development of software for automation in Skill, PERL, UNIX shell scripting and tool-flow integration.
+ Creation of documentation and hands-on training for AMS Design & Layout engineers as needed.
