Job Summary
The NICU Registered Nurse (RN) provides exemplary patient-centered care using a comprehensive nursing process that includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role is critical in coordinating and delivering high-quality care according to established clinical protocols and physician orders.
The RN engages collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes while fostering a compassionate environment for patients and their families.
Essential Functions
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in adherence to organizational policies and clinical protocols.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, accurately document findings, and report changes in patient conditions promptly.

- Specific to NICU RNs:
- Continuously assess vital signs and signs of distress in neonatal patients.

- Perform essential care tasks and procedures, including IV line insertions and other interventions.
Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in clinical nursing or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting are required.
