The Lab Analyst's essential duties include:
- Performing laboratory testing in a supervised environment.
- Carefully following established testing and traceability procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Recording data from testing results, paying close attention to detail.
- Communicating any unexpected issues that arise during testing to lab leadership.
- Participating in reviews of quality events to understand root cause of unexpected results or deviations.
- Providing additional support to the lab as needed (order supplies, review documents, other duties as assigned).
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are a representation of those that must be met to perform the essential job functions:
- Required to sit 15% of the day, stand and traverse 75% of the day to various office and lab locations and 10% of the day working at a computer.
- Bending, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing.
- Ability to have full body movement required.

DMCS Contact Center Quality team is an essential part of the DMCS program. Its objective is to utilize operational techniques and activities to satisfy quality requirements. QC activities generate testing or review results of work efforts and provide feedback that supports Quality Assurance (QA) and drives continuous improvement.

Summary: Packs quality finished goods into boxes for shipment and assists Technician with basic line issues in a safe and efficient manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Safely and effectively verifies conformance of finished goods to quality assurance standards by performing the following duties:
- Serves as Quality Champion for the shift.
- Attend daily shift handoff meetings.
- Organize rework for packer and facilitates coaching/training on expectations.
- Review production packaging and compare to product catalog and packaging requirements.
- Inspect product, including weight, ID/OD, thickness and functionality
- Visual inspect of product for defects
- Understand cosmetic and functional defects
- Set up, calibrate, and supply gages to production
- Enters data into computer and prints required inspection documents
- Familiarity with data acquisition
- Usage of QC table set up in Thermoforming a plus
- Collects product samples and perform test including but not limited to;
- Pipe, Haze, Tuck Angle, Dyne, first check inspection, weights, dimensions (Thermo)
- Visual inspections of print quality, tape adhesion test and fill line verification (Print)
- Contains and inspects product when an issue is found
- Place product on QC hold in house and electronically. (i.e. affix hold tickets, identify hold product and move to hold area)
- Maintains records of all inspections and results
- Verify Job Docket, Job Specification sheet, changeover and sign off on line
- Completes paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
- Perform case audits which include verification of the following
- Packaging Materials, box, sleeves.
- Port Tickets on the line matches the schedule
- Production Code is legible
- Assure sleeve count, # of sleeves and configuration of the box and pallets are correct

FIC America Corp. is a global Tier 1 automotive components manufacturer centrally located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. We are actively seeking a Quality Engineer responsible for the implementation of customer quality requirements and the integrity for quality processes and procedures.
Essential Job Functions
- Assuring product, process, and system quality requirements are determined and implemented
- Consistent communication and follow-up with production and customers
- Defining, analyzing, and resolving issues effectively and responsibly
- Maintaining records and ensuring procedures are followed
- Writing standard work instructions
- Implement manufacturing processes that include Continuous Improvement, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, Process Flow, Corrective Action Process, and Problem-Solving Methodologies (5-Why, 8D, etc.)
- Perform and coordinate internal audits/training to ensure continuing compliance with Quality System Standards and the manufacture of safe products
- Leading countermeasure activities across departments
- Coordinate with production personnel, vendors, and external contractors to implement kaizens
- Complete supporting documentation, such as poka-yoke, changeover procedures, and welding conditions to comply with customer requirements
- Read blueprints and use computer aided design software
- Follow standard work instructions
- Assist with quality presentations for new hires
- Perform other duties assigned
- Comply with FIC's Safety policies and procedures
- Comply with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 procedures and standards
- Perform 5-S activities
- 2+ years of Quality Engineering experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Related Field
- Experience reading blueprints and using measuring tools
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Must have proficient oral and written communication skills
- Must be willing to cross-train
- ERP experience preferred
- Experience working in an automotive industry preferred
- Experience working with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred

Job Summary:
A QC Inspector performs visual inspections and tests on steel pieces to be used in the construction of buildings, bridges and other structures. A QC Inspector must be able to notice possible product non-conformities use test and measuring instruments and monitor any repairs.
Essential Job Functions:
- Read and understand blueprints and specifications
- Monitor operations to ensure that the company production standards are met
- Inspect, test or measure material and products including welds, bolting and coating applications
- Accept or Reject finished product
- Discuss inspection results with Director of Quality Control
- Report inspection and test data
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an occupational function with a direct relationship to weldments fabricated to national or international standards
- High school degree or GED
- Steel fabrication experience
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong technical skills; read and understand blueprints, technical documents and manuals
- Knowledge of basic math generally used in the construction industry
- NDT Level 2 UT, MT
Equipment Operated:
UT scope, MT yoke, bend test jig and press, Skidmore bolt station for TON, TC and calibrated wrench as well as electric and pneumatic bolting equipment and PosiTector paint monitoring gauge.
