Job Description

The primary goal of this position is to leverage SAP Business Systems to optimize and enhance business processes across the organization, focusing specifically on areas of logistics, inventory, and warehouse management. This role involves working with high-level business unit executives to identify strategic SAP-enabled opportunities, providing leadership in planning, development, and delivery of effective information systems, and driving the integration of SAP with external systems.

Responsibilities

• Business Process Analysis & Improvement: Work directly with business unit clients to understand specific processes and drivers related to SAP LE, IM, WM/EWM systems. Identify and communicate resulting needs and opportunities for SAP-enabled business process improvement.

• Technology Investigation & Strategy Development: Investigate existing SAP capabilities and explore new solutions for logistics, inventory, and warehouse management. Develop integrated information management strategies that align with business goals.

• Compliance & Evaluation: Ensure all SAP activities comply with corporate and divisional policies. Identify emerging needs and evaluate SAP solutions using best practices.

• Strategic Business Opportunities: Proactively seek strategic opportunities for SAP application across multiple business areas, providing comprehensive strategic analyses to high-level executives.

• Information Systems Strategy: Develop, lead, or review SAP information systems strategy to support strategic requirements of multiple business areas, ensuring alignment between business and technology directions.

• Training & Testing: Prepare testing plans for SAP systems to confirm accuracy and completeness. Conduct user training to ensure effective system adoption.

• Process Improvement Recommendations: Provide recommendations for process improvement objectives, such as adopting SAP WM/EWM practices, application development, or business process management.

• Relationship Management: Develop business relationships and integrate activities with other Business Technology Organizations (BTOs) to ensure successful SAP project implementation and support.

• Communication & Conflict Resolution: Manage relationships between clients and BTOs, fostering effective communication and resolving conflicts. Keep stakeholders informed of project progress and issues.

• Responsibility & Accountability: Have defined authority and responsibility for significant areas of SAP work, including technical, financial, and quality aspects. Establish organizational objectives and delegate assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field with 7 years of SAP experience; Master's Degree with 6 years' experience; PhD with 2 years' experience.

• Proven expertise in SAP LE, IM, WM/EWM, and integration technologies (API, EDI, IDOCs).

• Ability to strategically analyze and develop solutions for complex SAP-related problems.

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and familiarity with supply chain management systems is a plus.

• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.

Purpose

Proactively seeks out strategic business opportunities with high-level business unit executives. Provides advice, assistance and leadership in any area associated with the planning, procurement, provision, delivery, management, maintenance and effective business use of information systems for a business area. Analyzes business processes; elicits, analyzes and documents business requirements; identifies alternative solutions, assesses feasibility and makes recommendations typically seeking to exploit and leverage new or existing technology components. Translates business requirements into functional requirements; performs data and process modeling; manages change; and leads, coordinates/performs testing, verification, and validation of requirements.

Responsibilities

Works directly with business unit clients to understand specific business processes and business drivers and business strategy across multiple business units; identifies and communicates resulting needs and opportunities for business process improvement that can be enabled via technology; Investigates and understands capabilities of existing systems and technologies already in use across the business area and similar and interconnected business areas in AbbVie and investigates available technologies applied to this business area in industry; identifies information required to support the business strategy and leads the development of appropriate information management strategies, developing them as an integrated part of the business strategy. Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures. Identifies current and emerging business needs and evaluates alternative technology solutions using standard information systems methodologies and best practices. Proactively seeks out strategic business opportunities for the application of new or existing technology capabilities (across multiple business areas) with high-level business unit executives providing key opinion-leading clients with comprehensive strategic analyses and insights to help them discover strategic uses of technology products and services. Develops, leads, or reviews the creation of information systems strategy to support the strategic requirements of multiple business areas. Identifies the business benefits of alternative strategies. Ensures compliance between business strategies and technology directions. May prepare testing plans to confirm that requirements and system design are accurate and complete. Conducts training. Makes recommendations to process stakeholders regarding the correct approach to achieve process improvement objectives. These may include business process outsourcing, application development or adopting business process management (BPM) practices. Develops business relationships and integrates activities with other BTOs to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts. Manages relationships between clients involved and BTOs to assure effective communication between the groups is occurring. Brokers services within BTS on behalf of customers; coordinates portfolio of solutions, and identifies interdependencies. Allies with other BTOs to remain current on project status, and inform customer management of progress; conversely, keeps BTS managers aware of user issues and resolves conflicts. Identifies the impact of any relevant statutory, internal or external regulations on the organization's use of information. Has defined authority and responsibility for a significant area of work, including technical, financial and quality aspects. Establishes organizational objectives and delegates assignments. Accountable for actions and decisions taken by self and subordinates. Accountable for the accuracy of the fit of the proposed business process improvements and the technical solution to the business needs and the information upon which the business justification and prioritization decisions are made. Position Responsibilities:

+ Ensure end-to-end communication and execution of all promotions, meeting metrics such as customer fill rate, premium freight, and order change rates

+ Manage supplier performance to enhance overall supply chain and logistics efficiency, resolve chronic issues like lead time and fill rate, and collaborate with key partners for consistent forecast inputs and successful promotion execution

+ Coordinate with supply chain partners to strategize inventory fulfillment, confirm sufficient inventory supply with suppliers, and track purchase orders from supplier to receipt at the distribution center

+ Gather and review new product information for internal departments, ensure accurate product changes, manage item transitions, and plan for proper inventory levels

+ Maintain product master data and vendor information while analyzing and interpreting multiple data sources and reports to determine the best course of action

+ Work on projects assigned to support existing customers, new business development, or process improvement

Required Education and Experience:
