Purpose of the Role:

As a Field Service Engineer, you will ensure the efficient maintenance of solar plants, performing both preventative and corrective tasks to keep our operations running smoothly.

Location :Ideal candidates will be located in or around the Plymouth region in Cornwall

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures, actively participating in risk assessments.
  • Perform maintenance on electrical components, inverters, modules, CCTV/security systems, monitoring systems, and structures.
  • Provide detailed reports according to Lightsource BP standards, which can be prepared remotely.
  • Deliver electrical maintenance services across a specified region, with occasional travel to other regions for additional support.
  • Assist in compiling insurance and warranty claims.
  • Take full ownership of assigned sites.
  • Manage relationships with local subcontractors.

Knowledge :

  • Electrically trained with qualifications such as BS7671 and Level 3 Electrical NVQ or equivalent (e.g., completed apprenticeship, IET).
  • Ability to safely pass LV1 assessment.
  • Desirable: Experience as an Electricians Mate, industrial PV installation maintenance, inverter maintenance, and HV switching.

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer like you to join our amazing team in our beautiful Muscatine, IA Manufacturing plant. Although the job has been posted in a wider variety of locations, this position is onsite and is located in Muscatine, IA. Full relocation assistance is being offered along with a great compensation, annual bonus, and world-class benefits! Travel would be domestically and would only be 50% and would most often be to our Bandag manufacturing facilities in Abilene, TX, Griffin, GA or Oxford, NC.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be providing Engineering Services and support to the Bridgestone pre-cure tread (PCT) manufacturing operations through evaluation, analysis, design, supervision, upgrading and installation of corporate facilities, equipment, controls and process systems. Is a source of knowledge and expertise on equipment in Bridgestone Bandag manufacturing sites. Position Summary:

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our team and play a vital role in providing exceptional service and support for our analytical instrumentation. In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of service-related functions, including the repair, maintenance, and performance verification of assigned products, including demo equipment and instruments returned from customers.

Compensation & Benefits:

This full-time, non-exempt position comes with a comprehensive benefits package. After one year of employment, you will also be eligible for a generous short-term disability program with the company covering 100% of monthly premiums.

The starting salary range for this role is 75,000 to 77,000 annually, paid semi-monthly. As a non-exempt position, you will be eligible for overtime and double time pay, as outlined in our employee handbook. Additional variable compensation includes an incentive plan (10% of base salary) based on company and service performance, paid semi-annually in April and October. A year-end discretionary bonus may also be awarded based on overall company performance.

This position includes a company car with a fuel card (with a 55 per pay deduction for personal use), company laptop, and a company-paid cell phone, which remains company property but can be used for personal purposes.

    Field Service Engineer

    The Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing onsite system diagnostic and analytical support to customers within a geographic territory, or assigned to a specific account, supporting the customer per the terms of the SLA (Service Level Agreement) with Park Place Technologies. Specifically, the FSE responds to customers’ systems failures by way of computer hardware service, testing, diagnostic analysis, and systems analysis of hardware, storage area networks, and system configurations. An FSE must be available to respond to customer issues 24/7 and service all equipment regardless of product training within the designated service area. They also must have a thorough and broad knowledge of system configuration and equipment compatibility requirements and limitations across various OEM product lines. The FSE has the skillset to review machine logs internal to the device. As an FSE, you must be willing to participate in After Hours Support Team (if assigned) - providing first response to incoming customer service requests after normal business hours – or hours as assigned per customer contract. The customer support center may field and coordinate calls during scheduled and unscheduled hours.

    What you’ll be doing:

    • Provides onsite technical customer support:

    • Ensures timely, professional, and effective response to customer service needs to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

    • Must be able to be scheduled for work on shifts occurring at any time of day.

    • Provides effective problem analysis and identification remotely before arrival at customer site; determines needed parts and documentation to minimize down time and multiple trips

    • Performs service in a cost effective manner.

    • Displays professional attitude and courtesy while on site.

    • Maintains effective communication with customer and our customer support center during repair process and any projected delay.

    • Analyzes software and hardware error logs, utilizes diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques and operating system analysis to ensure timely and effective repair.

    • Utilizes multiple tools for remote system connection to perform remote diagnosis, repair or configuration changes.

    • Assesses current and future customer needs based on usage of the system.

    • Inventory / Parts Management:

    • Determines needed parts and quantities based on contracts in service area.

    • Returns bad or excess parts in a timely manner.

    • Manages accurate inventory count, daily and as required and performs bi-yearly physical count inventory.

    • Administrative:

    • Accurately completes and timely returns audit forms, email replies, timesheets and expense reports.

    • Attends and participates in regularly scheduled team meetings.

    • Accounts for all activities correctly using Field Point time reporting utility.

    What we’re looking for:

    • Minimum seven (7) years specific experience working with OEM data center hardware

    • Successful Prior Field experience

    • Solid technical aptitude

    • Understanding of different OEM equipment with the ability to grasp new products/concepts

    • Ability to work long and/or unusual hours while maintaining effectiveness (manage being on call 24/7)

    • Demonstrated experience providing Customer Service (may be internal to organization) and ability to put the Customer Needs first

    • Proven ability to work independently, while exhibiting leadership and collaboration, when working with others

    • CompTIA A+ and Server + required

    • Must possess a valid driver’s license and an appropriate driving record based on the position travel requirements.

    **This position will be responsible for providing specific technical direction and advisory services to the onsite contractors, in house engineering, in house operations, and in house sales functions of the Flygt A-C Custom Pump Operations. Activities include supervision of installation, testing, and commissioning of Custom Pump products and systems.**
    **"The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with rotary equipment, including gas or diesel engines, large-scale machinery such as construction equipment or trucks/semis, as well as turbines, generators, or compressors-all of which are highly valuable."**
    **The Aftermarket and Field Service Engineer is also responsible for providing sales & technical support for all past, current, and future pump installations. Finally, this position has responsibility to make verbal and written recommendations for repair sales opportunities, fully supporting company goals and objectives.**

    **Your Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:**
    **Possess a working knowledge of pump or rotating equipment mechanical design**
    **On-time design of products, both new and aftermarket, to ensure customer requirements and specifications are met or exceeded.**
    **Manage projects for aftermarket (repairs) to ensure timely completion of design related tasks. This includes proper coordination and interaction with operations and assisting operations in execution as required.**
    **Perform engineering calculations and analysis as needed.**
    **Prepare proposals for aftermarket projects and selling opportunities.**
    **Serve as technical consultant on design and manufacturing issues for both new and aftermarket products.**
    **Coordinate in-house testing of pumps for aftermarket projects in cooperation with shop operations.**
    **Interface with agents/ customers on a variety of issues: sales, marketing, service, etc.**
    **Produce Pro E and Auto CAD drawings, layouts, and 3-dimensional drawings as required to meet shop production required dates to ensure customer on-time delivery for projects and repairs.**
    **Perform field service on pumps for customers (i.e. repairs, start up, warranty, testing, installation, etc.). This includes pump and system vibration data collection, analysis, and review.**
    **Complete field service assignments as needed**
    **Investigate field requirements in terms of design application, and failures for various conditions and determine solutions for customers.**
    **Backup for Aftermarket Manager and Customer Service Representatives on calls from customers asking technical questions.**

    Flygt A-C Pump, a Xylem Brand manufacturing some of the world's largest pumps, seeks to hire an Field Service Engineer.
    $5,000 Sign on bonus & Relocation available - Onsite Position: Travel 50% with the remaining time in the Pewaukee, WI
    **This position will be responsible for providing specific technical direction and advisory services to the onsite contractors, in house engineering, in house operations, and in house sales functions of the Flygt A-C Custom Pump Operations. Activities include supervision of installation, testing, and commissioning of Custom Pump products and systems.**
    **"The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with rotary equipment, including gas or diesel engines, large-scale machinery such as construction equipment or trucks/semis, as well as turbines, generators, or compressors-all of which are highly valuable."**
    **The Aftermarket and Field Service Engineer is also responsible for providing sales & technical support for all past, current, and future pump installations. Finally, this position has responsibility to make verbal and written recommendations for repair sales opportunities, fully supporting company goals and objectives**
    **Travel 50% with the remaining time in the Pewaukee, WI office, onsite**
    **Your Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:**
    **Possess a working knowledge of pump or rotating equipment mechanical design**
    **On-time design of products, both new and aftermarket, to ensure customer requirements and specifications are met or exceeded.**
    **Manage projects for aftermarket (repairs) to ensure timely completion of design related tasks. This includes proper coordination and interaction with operations and assisting operations in execution as required.**
    **Perform engineering calculations and analysis as needed.**
    **Prepare proposals for aftermarket projects and selling opportunities.**
    **Serve as technical consultant on design and manufacturing issues for both new and aftermarket products.**
    **Coordinate in-house testing of pumps for aftermarket projects in cooperation with shop operations.**
    **Interface with agents/ customers on a variety of issues: sales, marketing, service, etc.**
    **Produce Pro E and Auto CAD drawings, layouts, and 3-dimensional drawings as required to meet shop production required dates to ensure customer on-time delivery for projects and repairs.**
    **Perform field service on pumps for customers (i.e. repairs, start up, warranty, testing, installation, etc.). This includes pump and system vibration data collection, analysis, and review.**
    **Complete field service assignments as needed**
    **Investigate field requirements in terms of design application, and failures for various conditions and determine solutions for customers.**
    **Backup for Aftermarket Manager and Customer Service Representatives on calls from customers asking technical questions.**

    **EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**
    **B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering Preferred**
    **B.S** **Bio-Mechanical Engineering, General Engineering, and Metallurgical Engineering**
    **Experience with engines (gas or diesel), rotating equipment, large equipment (construction equipment or trucks/semis), turbines, generators, or compressors**
    **Specialized Knowledge Required** **- Including any required certificates, licenses, and registrations**
    **Possess a working knowledge of pump or rotating equipment mechanical design.**
    **Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills.**
    **Excellent communication (written and oral) and personal interaction skills required.**
    **The ability to conduct training to both technical and operations personnel.**
    **Effectively analyze and report data in a logical and systematic way so that it can be used to manage resources.**
    **Develop and write comprehensive technical reports on the assessment of pump repairs and field service calls.**
    **Valid driver's license.**
    **Ability to obtain valid passport.**
    **E.I.T. or P.E. License is a plus.**

    **Travel: Domestic and international travel via airplane, car, or other transportation vehicles, up to 50 % of the year. Flexibility in scheduling is needed.**

    **The estimated salary range for this position is $2,300** **to 100,000** **plus bonus?Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range?
