If you are selected as the 3rd Assistant Engineer, you will be working under the direction of the Chief Engineer and 1st Assistant Engineer. The 3rd Assistant Engineer is primarily responsible for the maintenance of diesel powered, electric generators, air compressors, purifiers, and electrical work aboard the ship. The 3rd Assistant Engineer is required to participate in all drills and emergencies and to assist with the enforcement of rules, procedures, regulations, and pollution prevention.
Position Overview
Your responsibilities may include:
+ Working under the supervision of the Chief Engineer
+ Safely and efficiently operating the entire engineering plant
+ Maintaining generators routinely
+ Maintaining electric motors routinely
+ Maintaining air compressors routinely
+ Maintaining L.O. purifiers routinely
+ Maintaining main engine lube oil systems/stern tube lube oil systems routinely
+ Performing all electrical work aboard the ship
+ Working independently
+ Testing and recording of insulation resistance (megger testing)
+ Collecting monthly samples of lube oil from all machinery
+ Working aloft
+ Checking all pumps and machinery during rounds
+ Monitoring activities from the engine control room
+ Working 12 hours per day. You may not work more than 15 hours per day
+ Being on call 24 hours/day for all emergencies

**Key Accountabilities:**
+ Daily maintenance activities to ensure all IT operations run smoothly.

**About the role**
Utilizes sophisticated skills to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment and grounds. Working under limited supervision, monitors building system operations and performance. Applies several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling.
**What you'll do**
+ Aligns with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
+ Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.
+ Oversees and inspects the work performed by outside contractors. Contracted work includes landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC, plumbers, and cleaning.
+ Performs assigned repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes' maintenance and repair records as required.
+ Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Orders necessary materials and supplies to finish the tasks.
+ Maintains an energy management program to ensure measures are taken to operate all systems in the most efficient manner to keep operating costs at a minimum.
+ Maintains the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements.
+ Performs carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.
**What you'll need**
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of four years of related experience and/or trade school training.
+ Universal CFC certification Preferred.
+ Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
+ Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles.
+ Uses personal computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, ESS and training. Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook.

The Stationary Operations Engineer is responsible for overseeing and maintaining all stationary equipment within our facility, ensuring its optimal operation and safety. This role requires an in-depth understanding of the machinery, routine check-ups, troubleshooting, and efficient repair methods.
+ **Maintenance and Operation:** Safely operate, maintain, and monitor boilers, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and other stationary equipment.
+ Must be experienced in maintenance and repairs on Commercial-Industrial building equipment to include but not limited to: chillers =/+500 tons, boilers, pumps, control systems, air handlers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, VAV's and VFD's. Candidates must be able to demonstrate practical knowledge of Chiller Plant Operations, demonstrate the ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and specifications, also be able to demonstrate practical knowledge of building air systems. The ability to respond to service calls of the gas-fired boilers, Chillers, AHU, fire pumps, generators, UPS, ATS, BAS, and Fire Alarm operations.
+ **Routine Inspections:** Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues, ensuring equipment is operating within set parameters and adhering to safety standards.

Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Ship Building Engineer to support the design, analysis, and development of autonomous surface vessels. This role will provide hands-on experience in traditional ship building and advanced autonomous technologies; driving impact in defense innovation. As a Build Engineer, you'll need interface remotely with our design engineering teams in Austin, while also owning the hands-on oversight of fabrication, integration, and issue resolution at the shipyard.

Responsibilities

    • Assist in the design, development, analysis, and construction of ASVs
    • Collaborate with other engineers to perform CAD modeling, structural/mechanical/electrical design, and weight management for vessel optimization
    • Operate as liaison between engineering, drafting, and production to resolve challenges that arise during design and construction
    • Identify and resolve non-conformances, lead root cause analysis, and drive resolution via IRBs (Issue Review Boards) and rework plans
    • Lead and coordinate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)-ensure traceability, communication, implementation, and verification
    • Support the integration of autonomous navigation and control systems into vessel designs
    • Participate in design reviews and brainstorming sessions for new and existing vessel concepts
    • Support documentation, technical writing, and preparation of reports for internal use, regulatory bodies, and client presentations
    • Manage CAD models to document changes made during ship construction
    • Support sea-trials and at-sea testing of ASVs as needed
Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
    • Familiarity with maritime industry standards including ABS and coast guard regulations
    • Strong fundamentals in core engineering principles, including structure, mechanical, and electrical systems
    • Experience working in a shipyard or onboard ships
    • Strong knowledge with 2D and 3D CAD software (e.g., Rhino, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX)
    • Deep familiarity with interpreting technical drawings, GD&T, weld symbols, and fabrication tolerances
