Job Description
The Patient Services Strategy Franchise Director, Immunology- Rheumatology plays a key role in the development of AbbVie Patient Services patient support strategies across the Immunology-Rheumatology portfolio for current and future pipeline products. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys identifying potential opportunities to create exceptional patient treatment plan experiences. This person will be responsible for directing the strategy for above-brand, franchise programs, partnering with leaders within the Patient Services organization and cross-functional leaders supporting the business unit/therapeutic area portfolio(s). Additionally, this position will work closely with the Patient Services and Business Unit/Therapeutic Area leadership teams in supporting the annual financial and long-range planning process for franchise patient support programs.
Responsibilities:
+ Owns all aspects of the development and execution of patient support programs and required resources for the same for the Immunology-Rheumatology franchise; defines strategy, care model performance and associated KPIs
+ Leads integrated Patient Services team in the development of US Patient Services Solution Strategies for Immunology-Rheumatology brands and serves as the team leader for integrated Patient Services care model team meetings to deep dive program effectiveness to identify ways to improve the patient experience and achieve better outcomes
+ Drives patient support strategy, overseeing AbbVie investment and allocation to create effective patient access to Immunology-Rheumatology therapies and enable adherence to therapeutic solutions
+ Responsible for supporting brand strategic imperatives through designing and optimizing fit-for-purpose patient support program ecosystems
+ Establish commercial priorities with Integrated Brand Team (IBT) and liaise with executive management and internal business partners to communicate the business impact of patient support programs
+ Direct interface between the other Patient Services teams and brand partners ensuring programs meet patient/provider needs
+ Promotes accountability for performance across functions, including providing periodic updates to senior leadership on program performance
+ Tracks brand needs, economics, strategies, timelines, and priorities while staying abreast of franchise and patient trends
+ Responsible for the development and execution of the patient care model and supporting care model resources to ensure optimal patient outcomes and care model performance for assigned franchise
+ Accountable for the delivery of patient care model performance, driving cross-functional coordination and resource prioritization across APS to ensure effective care model delivery and support across all brands within the assigned franchise.
+ Ensure effective financial planning, resourcing, and prioritization of franchise initiatives with fiscal responsibility and strong budgetary protocols.
+ Own escalation and decision-making for delivery risks, misalignment, or resourcing conflicts, acting as the accountable leader for franchise performance
+ Experience with stakeholder and people management; extensive executive presence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, etc.) preferred
- 12+ years of experience in healthcare
- 12+ years of experience working at a pharmaceutical company in roles involving strategy and execution
- Strong enterprise thinking, strategic planning, and financial acumen, with a data-driven mindset and the ability to connect broader organizational goals to franchise-specific strategies
- Extensive cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management experience
- Depth in portfolio strategy, with a proven ability to identify opportunities, anticipate challenges, and guide decision-making at scale
- Operational track record as a brand/portfolio leader with sophisticated understanding of business strategy, cross-functional stakeholder leadership and project management with a track record of commercial success.
- Significant experience and understanding of commercial and business unit/therapeutic area(s) strategic priorities and managing multiple business cycles (expansion, stabilization, stagnation, etc.). Basic knowledge of all functions (strategy, marketing, access & reimbursement, strategic APS operations, patient engagement, quality & compliance, etc.) and how to optimally leverage.
- Experience navigating in a heavily matrixed business environment, and building influential relationships broadly with a diverse set of stakeholders and key decision makers, internally and externally

**OVERVIEW**
You will work in concert with the product management team to analyze market conditions, the competitive landscape, customer needs, and develop go-to-market plans that differentiate Clinical Effectiveness (CE) products from the competition while reinforcing customer value. You also will support the sales and client service teams through the creation of messaging, tools and sales support material, and will drive strategy and subject matter expertise for campaigns and communications to be delivered by the marketing communications team. You work closely with portfolio marketing, product management, strategic marketing communications, training and sales to deliver accelerated growth for CE products.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ **Market Intelligence:** understand CE market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Use this knowledge to inform sales enablement and go-to-market strategies.
+ **Product Positioning:** develop clear and compelling product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market.
+ **Content Creation:** create and manage a variety of content (e.g., sales documentation, product videos, website copy, blog posts) to articulate the benefits of our products to enterprise businesses.
+ **Sales Enablement:** equip the sales team with the necessary tools and materials to sell our products effectively. This includes training sessions, product collateral, and custom sales strategies.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education:** Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in relevant field or equivalent
**Experience:** Five or more years in product marketing or related experience

+ Understanding of SaaS products and their application in business
+ Working with marketing enterprise software solutions
+ Experience in creating marketing collateral & sales enablement tools

+ Formulate lab-scale batches of products and placebos to support analytical method validation.
+ Provide technical support within the laboratory and other departments as needed.

Qualifications
