Job Description
Mueller's Atlanta-based Global Trade Compliance Department seeks an experienced Compliance Analyst to assist the department to minimize risk and ensure full compliance with laws and regulations. The successful candidate embraces challenges, change, and opportunities for personal and professional development, as the company continues to expand through both organic and inorganic growth.
This important role will lead product classifications for imported and exported SKUs, perform audits of import/export transactions, communicate with customs brokers, validate country of origin, and address other trade compliance issues. You will drive to improve Mueller's compliance profile, achieve efficiencies, and harvest savings to add value. Additional trade-related duties may arise as operational opportunities present themselves. This position reports to the Director, Global Trade Compliance and partners with others in the Trade Compliance department as well as other functions of the business including Sales, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Supply Chain to consult and advise in all trade matters.
Primary Responsibilities
- Product classification for import/export items
- Document and maintain the entry audit process
- Assist with COO determination
- Work in ERP system to maintain country of origin and classification compliance
- Anti-dumping and countervailing tariff analysis
- Work with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and carriers
- Additional duties assigned as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in International Trade, Supply Chain, or Engineering, and a minimum of seven (7) years of Trade Compliance experience
- LCB (Licensed Customs Broker), CSS (Certified Customs Specialist), CUESCO (Certified U.S. Export Compliance Officer), or similar accreditations highly desired
- Solid HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) and ECCN (Export Control Classification Number) experience
- Skilled in data analytics including data mining and report generation
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft suite skills (Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Oracle JD Edwards or other ERP systems
- Ideal candidate should be knowledgeable in the processes of manufacturing, sourcing, sales, and logistics

Nature and Scope
Under the general direction of the After-School Program Director, the Academic Learning Specialist is responsible for leading and providing individual or small group academic support during Afterschool program. The Learning Specialist will be responsible for supervising and implementing academic-related assignments for the school-age children in accordance with their school district curriculum. In addition, the Learning Specialist will develop and design learning material, coordinate, and review educational content, and incorporate current technology in developing specific class assignments that build upon the skills needed to be successful. All program decisions must be guided by Bright from the Start/DECAL and the Metro Atlanta YMCA program standards. Additionally, this position must perform duties in accordance with the policies, goals, mission, values, and objectives established by the Metropolitan Atlanta YMCA, Branch Strategic Plan, Safety Protocols including COVID-19, and Member Services Guidelines and Program approved non-negotiables. Emphasis will be placed on member service, program knowledge, participant/staff safety, and communication with members and employees.
Know How:
1. Must be 21 years of age.
2. A bachelor's degree or technical certification or degree preferred
3. For those working at licensed Bright from the Start facilities, must possess a minimum credential that meets BFTS requirements.
4. Must have a minimum of one-year prior experience working with school-age children in a group setting.
5. Preferred one-year experience working in a licensed setting and supervision of children in a school-age setting is a plus.
6. Have evidence of current successful completion of biennial training in CPR, or complete within 30 days of hire.
7. Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
8. Have experience with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Power Point, as well as, internet technology platforms such as Google Classroom and Zoom.
9. For facilities that operate under Bright from the Start Licensing, must receive a cleared GCIC/NCIC and a cleared Fingerprint check through Bright From the Start before working. (Annual GCIC checks will be conducted before each school year begin.)

Operate the program according to YMCA policies and procedures. Create an environment that provides various activities and instruction to support program goals and academic instruction. Assist students with academic assignments as required by their school district. Communicate and coordinate with participants teachers and parents on child's learning opportunities and needs. Complete academic progress reports as needed. Operate and deliver the program in compliance with YMCA and BFTS regulations, if at a licensed BFTS facility. Discuss and report any concerns with the Site Director. Maintain personal file to remain in compliance with the YMCA and BFTS, if at a licensed BFTS facility. Compile attendance records and other pertinent information required by the program, as needed. Coordinate supply needs with the Site Director. Attend YMCA and other trainings as scheduled. Maintain BFTS annual trainings hours, if at a licensed site. Consult with the Site Director on concerns related to student(s) development or behavior. Provide input into the planning and development of the program. Complete monthly self-assessments of the program, as needed. Perform other duties as related to the delivery of a quality program. This position must perform duties in accordance with the policies, goals, mission, values and objectives established by the Metropolitan Atlanta YMCA, Branch Strategic Plan, Safety Protocols Including COVID-19, and Member Services Guidelines and Non-Negotiables. Responsibilities Is primarily responsible for and accountable to leadership for academic strategy execution in coordination with national academic extended support teams for student success including first time NCLEX pass rates, student persistence, graduation rates, curriculum delivery and faculty & academic team engagement, student satisfaction. Is accountable to and provides oversight for the execution of the BSN academic strategy and BSN program delivery, ensuring that curricular and program outcomes are evaluated, monitor, and achieved according to the identified standard. Lead the development of a cohesive, cross-functional campus academic team with specific objectives, action planning and execution of the Chamberlain’s BSN academic strategy and student success model. Drive the implementation of the institution's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes and course objectives through classroom, laboratory, and clinical teaching and service to the College and nursing community. Plan and design with faculty workloads that support the delivery of the BSN program, BSN academic strategy and the required teaching/learning opportunities to drive quality improvement and strong academic outcomes. Assess and evaluate candidates responsible for successfully delivering the BSN program – including associate deans, academic support teams, and faculty. Ensure academic leadership creates clearly defined plans for orientation & onboarding with regular evaluation/feedback on teaching & learning best practices. Provides appropriate oversight of associate deans to design & approve faculty schedules/workload and accountability measures for teaching, development, and compliance qualifications. Also includes oversight and accountability of compliance of faculty workloads according to University guidelines. Develops plans for projects and goals in collective accountability with extended support teams (national academic, functional or otherwise designated). Ensure that local (campus or online) academic teams (student learning and faculty) access and complete course assessment data in collaboration with national academic teams each session. Demonstrate leadership and accountability for strategy development in coordination with national academic support teams for student success including, student persistence, graduation rates, first time NCLEX-RN pass rates, curriculum delivery and student satisfaction and is accountable for the development of action plans to meet and maintain Chamberlain University’s standards. Create a well defined plan for each campus for FCAC participation, monitoring, and reporting of updates. Collaborate in the development of and demonstrate accountability to final outcomes of annual budgets for all academic operations areas, including FT/VP faculty position and workload management, laboratory supplies/budgeting, cost of instruction, and other areas. Serve as resource, mentor and policy interpreter for alliance academic leaders, faculty, and students. Initiate leadership in the development and maintenance of new programs and/or program expansion. Positively represent Chamberlain University to professional groups, organizations and the community at large, as well as to the organization. Empower a positive environment for our faculty, staff and students by modeling a care-based attitude. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory regulations; amends existing policies/procedures as needed.
