What Youll Do

As our Accountant, youll be at the heart of our financial health, helping to ensure accuracy, transparency, and smart decision-making. Youll work directly with the Director of Finance and collaborate across departments. Responsibilities include:

Managing general ledger entries, accounts payable, and receivable

Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Reconciling bank and financial accounts

Processing payroll and employee commissions with accuracy and care

Supporting tax preparation and filings (local, state, and federal)

Assisting with audits and delivering financial insights to guide company strategy

Staying ahead of changes in accounting standards and best practices

What Were Looking For

A Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

At least 5 years of hands-on accounting experience

Solid knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations

About the job Accountant

Liaise between centralized payables department and plants to ensure flow of information through Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) System. Responsible for accounting and reporting for one bakery.

Responsibilities
Serve as key contact for Vendor Invoice Management System. Ensure proper coding and routing of invoices for final approval.
Research open items in Goods Received account and make recommendations for resolution of open items.
Perform accounting and reporting functions for one bakery, including but not limited to: Assist with month-end close.
Prepare journal entries as directed.
Preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
Financially settle and close process orders.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting.
2 years of relevant accounting experience.
Computer literate in spreadsheet and word applications.
Good analytical and organizational skills.
Understanding of cost accounting, month-end closings, and journal entries.
Self-starter, dependable, adaptable, and requires minimal supervision.

The overall requirements for any potential temp candidates would be:

• Provide accounting for all fixed asset related activity to include asset additions, retirements, depreciation, cost of removal, and salvage.
• Prepares journal entries and assists in analyzing financial results and variances, ensuring completeness and accuracy of the subsidiary general ledgers.

Job Summary:

• Able to work within a general ledger environment and have an understanding of financial statements.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and analyze income statement accounts.
