Washington State Nurses Association is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our Finance team and support our accounting and financial reporting activities. This position provides a unique opportunity for the qualified candidate to support WSNA's mission by working in the Finance department.
Central to this role will be managing and optimizing payroll systems, employee benefits, and accounts receivable, as well as preparing month-end reports and posting revenue entries. The Accounting Manager will also assist with the month-end and year-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, year-end audits, and preparation of financial statements. The Accounting Manager will also maintain confidential personnel union information and be fully trained to serve as a backup to the Director of Finance. The manager will perform duties under the guidance and instructions of the Director of Finance. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in labor relations with WSNA's unionized workforce.
The salary range for this position is $135,000 - $60,000. New hires generally start at 135,000, and placement within the range is based on qualifications and professional experiences.

The Accounting Manager is an exempt, full-time position primarily responsible for payroll, employee benefits, and accounts receivable. Education/Experience:

Position Summary: The Accounting Manager at LOUD Audio, LLC ("LOUD") partners closely with the VP of Accounting throughout the monthly close process and is expected to have a thorough understanding of the full accounting cycle and how transactions impact the general ledger. This role also supports the VP of Accounting in preparing for financial statement audits, bank audits, payroll audits, tax audits (sales, use, and income), inventory appraisals, and other third-party reviews as needed.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- Play a key role in the monthly close, consolidation and reporting processes
- Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts, payroll, fixed assets, accruals, prepaids, non-voucher accounts payable, intercompany activity, intangibles, and taxes.
- Assist in designing and documenting key control activities.
- Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Prepare schedules and PBCs to address financial statement audits, bank audits, payroll audits, government (sales, use and income) audits, inventory appraisals, and any third-party reviews/audits that may arise
- Complete corporate filings for multiple states in coordination with the registered agent (e.g., annual reports, sales tax filings).
- Perform commission calculations aligned with sales programs to ensure accuracy of payments.
- Coordinate with external payroll providers to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Maintain and update standard cost data, especially for new product launches and warehouse locations.
- Work closely with Accounting and Sales teams to drive improvement and efficiency throughout the Cash Conversion Cycle
