Key job responsibilities
In this role, Ad Tech Account Executives are subject matter experts of multiple products within the Amazon Ad Tech Suite. They focus on accelerating tech feature activation and usage - which improve campaign planning, activation, and measurement - as an enabler to drive media growth and tech revenue fueled by our ad tech flywheel. The Ad Tech Account Executive role involves selling features, products, or an entire suite of products, to optimize the advertising process. Examples include Amazon Marketing Cloud, Amazon DSP, APIs, and AWS components. They remain customer obsessed by collaborating with other internal Advertising and AWS sales teams to develop strategic customer plans to grow programmatic media investment through adoption of Amazon’s entire ad tech suite. They possess a deep understanding of the ad tech / marketing technology industry and regulations, to advise which products and features within Amazon’s ad tech stack best address each customers’ main needs and challenges. For example, an Ad Tech Account Executive communicates to customers the benefits of investing in Amazon Marketing Cloud, including insights of their core customer, creating durability in measurement with industry shifts in identity, or developing custom models to evaluate the lifetime value of customers. Ad Tech Account Executives play a strategic role in the overall growth of the Amazon Ads business.

The Vice President, Streaming Strategy & Ad Tech will participate in leading development and execution of strategies to maximize ad revenue across all Versant digital endpoints and facilitate reporting of digital revenue performance. Additionally, this role will be a main contributor in efforts against development of ad products, and relationship management across key constituencies including Versant cross-functional leadership, NBCU sales and AP&O teams, and both internal and external tech/enablement partners.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Reporting directly into the Executive Vice President of Ad Sales, this role will partner with key stakeholders including the Vice President of Ad Sales Monetization in driving strategic initiatives and optimizing revenue performance across digital and linear platforms
- Play a critical role in shaping monetization strategies, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering cross-functional collaboration
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Vice President of Ad Sales, and Vice President of Ad Sales Monetization on key focus areas:
- Revenue tracking and performance analysis
- Inventory and capacity utilization insights
- Client and category mix evaluation, including target tracking and analysis
- Marketplace analysis across Upfront, Scatter, and Programmatic
- Financial modeling, forecasting, and revenue tracking
- Development and refinement of core reporting and analytics processes for digital revenue
- Support NBCU sales partnership by aligning with Digital, Planning, and AP&O leadership teams
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners (e.g., DSPs) to support digital content distribution strategies
- Liase with Versant content leadership to identify and lead innovative, incremental revenue opportunities and ad product development
- Coordinate with Versant Operations & Technology and NBCU Ad Tech & Operations to ensure alignment on systems and Ad product development
- Develop and articulate a clear point of view on the evolving digital marketplace
- Support strategic initiatives for Fandango and Sports Next, identifying synergistic opportunities to drive incremental revenue across all Versant assets

Stay Ahead of the Curve: Monitor trends in the digital advertising and martech ecosystem (e.g., AI, privacy regulations, programmatic advancements, measurement shifts) to inform product positioning. Be a Utility Player: This is a high-growth team—pitch in across strategic projects, special initiatives, and major product moments. What You’ll Need Must have 7+ year’s experience in the media, advertising or publisher space; experience in product marketing a plus BA/BA required in Marketing or Business or equivalent, relevant experience Deep understanding of ad tech and an aptitude for technical concepts and data Ability to apply analytics and market research to inform product requirements and packaging needs Strong public speaking and presentation skills. Experienced presenting to high profile clients and senior leadership teams. Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects. Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a highly cross functional environment. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $137,000 to $48,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
