Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to join our OB/GYN Department. The WHNP will provide comprehensive, patient-centered reproductive and gynecological healthcare services across the lifespan, including preventive care, family planning, prenatal and postpartum care, and management of common gynecologic conditions. This position supports the goals of CAMcare's HRSA grant by addressing women's health disparities and increasing access to integrated care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive women's health services, including well-woman exams, contraception counseling, STI screenings, prenatal care, and menopause management.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other members of the care team.
- Ensure culturally competent, trauma-informed, and evidence-based care is provided.
- Participate in care coordination and health promotion activities in alignment with HRSA and UDS standards.
- Document all care in the electronic health record (EHR) in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including HEDIS measures and clinical benchmarks.
- Serve as a preceptor or mentor for students as needed in partnership with academic institutions.
- Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Board Certification as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) with extensive women's health experience
- Current New Jersey APRN and RN licenses
- DEA license with NJ CDS registration
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Prior experience working in an FQHC or with underserved populations is highly desirable
- Maintain 90% compliance with UDS and HEDIS measures for women's health
- Achieve and maintain patient satisfaction score of ≥ 85%
- Close ≥ 85% of patient encounters within 72 hours in the EHR
- Meet productivity targets as defined by the OB/GYN Clinical Director
- Active participation in at least one quality improvement project annually

**Duties and Responsibilities**
**Essential Functions:**
+ Obtains/records initial patient histories, assesses current health status, preform physical exams, identifies problems/needs and designs comprehensive management plans for patients.
+ Assesses current health status, real and/or potential health problems and identifies expected outcomes in response to management plans, reviewing data with the physician as necessary.
+ Requests appropriate diagnostic and screening procedures, interpreting the results.
+ Writes prescriptions for required medication and/or treatment to meet management plan as allowed by State Regulations and protocols.
+ Coordinates continued care for individual patients and provides follow up evaluation of patients' response to management plans.
+ Provides emergency care as indicated and supported by protocols, training and experience.
+ Acts as a resource, educator and consultant to staff. Develops and evaluates standards of care and protocols as necessary. Provides patient and family education, support and follow up as needed.
+ Monitors and ensures accuracy of recording on patient medical records. Maintains all required reports, records, statistics, etc.

Penn Medicine will be hiring Providers (Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioners and/or Masters prepared Physician Assistants) into a Cardiology Advanced Practitioner Fellowship Program. This will be a 12-month paid Fellowship of a thorough didactic and clinical curriculum, with a start date in early 2026.
This is a post graduate fellowship program designed for acute care certified nurse practitioners and certified physician assistants who have a lifelong commitment to learning and are seeking a career as a Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider at Penn Medicine as there maybe opportunity for employment following the successful completion of this program. The purpose is to train qualified nurse practitioners and physician assistants to function as expert providers in Cardiology. This end is facilitated by a robust didactic curriculum and clinical rotations through Penn Medicine acute care Cardiology practices.
Department physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants participate as mentor/preceptors in this program. The focus of training is the development of expertise in cardiology where trainees will participate in 60 hours of work per week (50clinical and 10 academic hours). At the end of the program a Post Master's certification is granted (3 CUs) from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. Upon successful completion of the Fellowship and credentialing through the University of Pennsylvania Medical Board, opportunities for employment may be available.

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Manager will provide daily clinical and operational management for the advanced practice providers on their service/in their service line in support of institutional and departmental missions. The APP Manager for Cardiovascular services at HUP provides leadership for APPs in the Heart & Vascular ICU, the Progressive Case Unit, the OR and the ambulatory care clinic. The APP Manager serves as a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the Advanced Practice Provider (APP) strategy at HUP. This role ensures alignment with the broader UPHS Advanced Practice Strategic Plan, driving initiatives that optimize APP utilization, professional development, and clinical integration to enhance patient care and organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
The individual in this position will be accountable for human resource needs, workforce planning and development of staffing models, orientation, onboarding, professional development, employee engagement and satisfaction, budget planning, and partnership between the clinical service / service line and the Department of Advanced Practice.
The AP Manager will work closely with medical staff leadership in their respective division to maintain oversight of the implementation of performance measures and other operational goals as they relate to individual or team performance. The manager will have direct responsibility for the APPs across the continuum, integrating the boundaries of setting or entity.
The AP Manager, consistent with all nurse practitioners and/or physician assistants, will function under the guidelines as designed by the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center medical staff bylaws and is credentialed through that body. The Manager will be held accountable through a formal job description, the delineation of privileges, and through their agreement with their collaborating / supervising physician.
This position has a dual reporting structure. The Manager will report to the service / service line medical director for direct oversight of the clinical roles and practice, as well as the Director of Advanced Practice who is responsible for the administrative oversight of the position. They are equally accountable both to the clinical service / service line and the organization.
Responsibility for 4 APP Leads and over 60 FTEs across our ambulatory practice, OR, Progressive Care Unit, and ICU
Credentials:
+ CRNP or Physician Assistant
Education or Equivalent Experience:
+ Master's degree Required.
5+ years recent NP/PA experience in area of specialty with demonstrated clinical competence and professional accountability. Combination of inpatient and outpatient experience ideal 3+ years progressive leadership / management experience Hours of work determined by the Clinical Service and administrative leader to meet the needs of patient care as well as their direct reports. Must be reachable when off-site via smart phone. Hospital continuing education to meet the requirements of the system and as per JCAHO Minimum requirements for continuing education as outlined by certification requirements and State Board of Nursing High level of clinical knowledge regarding all aspects of their patient population. Expertise in executing patient care programs and managing clinical operations. Expertise in direct patient care at the advanced practice level. Effective clinical provider, counselor, and educator of patients and families. Ability to mentor, manage, and lead staff in a variety of settings (inpatient ICU, stepdown, and outpatient) to provide effective and compliant care and services. Effective communicator with the ability to transfer knowledge (orally and in writing), train staff, and remediate performance issues. Ability to work with staff at all levels. Pennsylvania Hospital, the nation's first hospital, is a 515-bed acute care facility that provides a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic medical services and functions as a major teaching and clinical research institution. Pennsylvania Hospital (PAH) is part of the University of Pennsylvania Health System and is located at 8th and Spruce Streets in the historic Society Hill district of Philadelphia.

Penn Family Medicine University City is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join their team in caring for patients from newborn to geriatrics in the ambulatory setting. This 8-provider group currently consists of 5 Physicians and 3 APPs and is located in West Philadelphia at 46th and Spruce Streets.
