**GENERAL SUMMARY:**
The Vice President/CFO is responsible to the President, providing financial management, leadership and accountability for all three hospitals within the AdventHealth Sebring Division (AH Sebring, AH Lake Placid, and AH Wauchula) in accordance with Federal, state and local regulations, and in accordance to corporate policies and procedures. The VP/CFO is responsible for the financial and strategic planning for AH Sebring Division and its employed physician practices.
**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS** **:**

· Directly responsible for supervision of Patient Financial Services, Accounting, Managed Care contracts, Materials Management, Health Information Services, Case Management, Information Systems, financial management of Physician Practices, Joint Ventures, outside services contracting and other departments as needed.
· Intervenes in problem solving, decision making, counseling and other issues as appropriate to level of authority and/or upon request when an acceptable solution has not been reached.
· Is responsible for strategic management of all financial matters relating to Florida Hospital Heartland Division and its employed physician practices.
· Keeps informed (including staff) on health care financial matters dealing with Federal, State and local levels incorporating changes as appropriate.
· Participates in policy decisions affecting financial matters at relevant levels of corporate decision making within the system.
· Participates with leaders from the governing body, management and departments in planning, managing budget, promoting and conducting hospital wide quality assessment and improvement activities.
· Participates with leaders from the governing body, management, and hospital departments in development and ongoing review of the hospital's mission, strategic plans, budgets, resource allocation, operational plans and policies.
· Participates with management and leadership in evaluating systems and in selecting and integrating health care technology and information management systems to support efficient utilization of resources.
· Provides Christian leadership as the mission indicates.
· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:**
· Accounting degree from 4 year accredited college. (Required)

As the Advanced Lung Disease (ALD) program sees a large number of patients with Interstitial Lung Disease and Pulmonary Hypertension associated with Connective Tissue Diseases, the opportunity for embedded clinics within the ALD clinic and a shared EMR (EPIC) will allow for highly collaborative care with these specialists. Working Conditions & Functions

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Must be able to stretch, bend, stoop and crouch and perform moderate to heavy physical labor while moving equipment, materials, and supplies. The employee is occasionally required to climb stairs and maneuver heavy equipment through tight spaces to access a patient's residence. This position requires the physical and mental ability to provide equipment assessments and maintenance. Must be able to lift or transfer patients weighing up to 160 pounds without assistance (or more with assistance) and perform one-man CPR.

This position requires city and rural travel. Drive a personal vehicle, delivery van or truck safely, sometimes through hazardous weather conditions. The employee must be able to identify safety hazards and take the necessary precautions. Work with a minimum of supervision and demonstrate the ability to problem solve.

**GENERAL SUMMARY:**
Reporting directly to the hospital CEO, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) assumes a pivotal role in providing physician leadership and enhancing clinical outcomes. The CMO spearheads efforts to bolster performance improvement, mitigate risks, ensure safety, uphold clinical quality standards, facilitate continuing medical education, oversee the medical staff office, manage medical school affiliations, and coordinate residency programs. Additionally, the CMO shall devote full-time effort to providing CMO duties and responsibilities, acting as a vital liaison between physicians and Case Management staff to optimize resource utilization, ultimately resulting in enhanced patient service, improved medical staff satisfaction, and reduced costs. **PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**
The CMO shall lead initiatives that advance patient care within AHFC and AHFC Network, including:
**CLINICAL QUALITY ADVANCEMENT:**
+ Providing leadership oversight for the Quality & Safety Standards and Best Practice Programs at I) the Walt Disney Pavilion, 2) All AdventHealth Orlando ("AHO") departments providing clinical care to children (0-17), and 3) AHFC Network locations.
+ Coordinate efforts for public and privately reported metrics to establish the hospital as a leading care provider.
+ Engage in initiatives concerning patient safety, quality, infection control, risk management, and patient service, particularly those involving physician issues.
+ Collaborate with AHO Medical Staff department and elected leaders to ensure an effective peer review, credentialing, and quality assurance process.
+ Support clinical outcomes reporting, research compliance standards, and clinical research.
+ Lead or collaborate on certification and licensure activities.
+ Participate in Pediatric and Perinatal ethics committees.
+ Serve as a clinical leader or liaison for medically related IT initiatives.
+ Actively participate in AHFC, AHO, and AdventHealth System (AHS) Corporate meetings.
+ Lead the submission of external surveys for recognition and national prominence, including US News and World Report and Leapfrog Best Children's Hospitals survey.
**MEDICAL STAFF RESPONSIBILITIES:**
The CMO will serve as the primary administrative leader for the Medical Staff for AHFC. Primary responsibilities include:
_Strategic Planning:_
+ Actively participate in strategic planning for AHFC Tertiary Children's Hospital & AHFC Network, focusing on Medical Staff & Network Development for Specialty and Primary Care.
+ Attend necessary AHFC, AHO, and AHS Corporate meetings.
_Physician and Clinical Team Oversight:_
+ Oversee 30 medical directors and 200 clinicians at AHFC, evaluating their job performance.
_Medical Leadership Development:_
+ Collaborate with AHO System CMO and Administration to develop ongoing Physician Leadership Development programs.
+ Act as a liaison for Physician Leadership Development Programs for AHFC.
_Medical Staff Management:_
+ Work closely with the AHO System CMO and Hospital Leadership to create annual working plans advancing medical and clinical priorities.
+ Serve as the primary administrative physician for AdventHealth Orlando Medical Staff representing AHFC, resolving disputes and addressing behavioral issues.
+ Provide mentorship for AHFC Medical Directors and physicians.
_Physician Recruiting:_
+ Lead and support Medical Staff recruitment initiatives.
_Physician Engagement:_
+ Develop and implement a physician engagement strategy, driving clinical improvement and optimization.
+ Act as a change agent for activities promoting clinical improvement.
_Education:_
+ Lead or liaise for physician education activities within AHFC and its network.
+ Collaborate with leadership for Graduate and Undergraduate medical education at AHFC.
_Physician Communication:_
+ Lead effective physician communication strategies across the AHFC Network.
+ Model and provide leadership for excellent customer service delivery.
+ Develop and implement physician communication strategies facilitating information exchange and socialization.
**ADVOCACY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Provide guidance on public policy matters concerning the medical staff at AHFC.
+ State and National Children's Hospitals Organizations: Represent AHFC at state and national levels in organizations like the Florida Association of Children's Hospitals and Child Health Association in the CMO forum.
**SUPPORT PHILANTHROPIC EFFORTS:**
+ Assist in AHFC's philanthropic endeavors by representing AHFC physicians at requested events.
+ Physician Engagement in Philanthropy: Lead the involvement of AHFC physicians in hospital philanthropic initiatives.
**TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENT:**
+ Play a pivotal role in decision-making processes concerning new procedures/devices planned by various Medical Staff members.
+ Input on Technological Advancements: Provide insights into new technology adoption at AHFC to enhance clinical quality, safety, and competitiveness within the community.
**RESEARCH AND ACADEMICS:**
+ Collaborate with the Chief Scientific Officer at AHO to develop and evaluate the research plan for AHFC.
+ Utilization of Databases and Research Infrastructure: Offer input on the appropriate utilization of databases and research infrastructure at AHFC.
**AHFC NETWORK RESPONSIBILITIES:**
A. Leadership for Network Development and Integration:
+ The CMO will provide leadership for AHFC Network Development, Integration, and Oversight, crucial for organizing and positioning the network for success in key areas such as:
· Implementing medical and clinical delivery models to achieve the highest quality outcomes.
· Enhancing access to care for patients across the AHO network.
· Establishing cost-effective care models across the network.
· Ensuring consistent standards of pediatric care across AHO network locations, including Emergency Department, Radiology, Surgery, Inpatient Pediatric, and Newborn care.
B. Collaboration in Network Development:
+ The CMO, alongside the AHFC CEO and other administrative leaders, will collaborate in developing and leading the AHFC Network by:

**Overview**
The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is looking for a dynamic and energetic pediatric neurologist to join a fast-growing multidisciplinary pediatric neuroscience program to help further develop general and subspecialty neuroscience programs. This position would focus primarily on general neurology or neuromuscular disorders.
Currently, the pediatric neuroscience center at AdventHealth for Children has a level IV comprehensive epilepsy center, sleep center, multidisciplinary neurofibromatosis clinic, Tuberous Sclerosis Complex clinic, congenital neurosurgery clinic, and craniofacial clinic supported by a strong group of neuroradiologists and neuropsychologists. The hospital has a 20 bed dedicated neuroscience inpatient unit with an embedded 8 bed epilepsy monitoring unit which will grow to 24 beds in a newly renovated neuroscience floor. Diagnostic facility includes a state-of-art 3T MRIs, PET, SPECT, and MEG center.
Responsibilities of the new physician will include our comprehensive general neurology service in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Subspecialty program interests can certainly be developed as well (neuromuscular, neonatal, neurocutaneous syndrome, movement disorder, and spasticity).
