The role of the Senior Financial Analyst is to support and develop reporting for the Americas Region of Motherson SAS Automotive Services. - Communicate effectively with finance and non-finance colleagues in domestic and international locations to ensure complete, accurate and timely reporting and intercompany transactions.
- Prepare monthly journal entries, accounting analyses, reconciliations, and supporting workpapers.
- Prepare monthly reporting in accordance with close deadlines.
- Work with external auditors to ensure an efficient audit process.
- Review reports to ensure intercompany balance sheet and P&L differences are investigated and corrected for month-end.

What Will You Do?

Drive and assist with all forecasting activities including schedules and drives forecast reviews with BD and Ops e.g., revenue projections, IL/DL Meeting, BU forecast reviews, etc.
Prepare and update templates and files as necessary to prep for the forecasting process e.g., create benefits file, depreciation file, revenue projections file, IL/DL headcount file, TM1 templates preparation, etc.
Coordinate with BD and Ops to update final forecasts e.g., rate calculations, Capex entry, lease input, calculate Flexline, material handling, and SGA, update balance sheet days AR, AP, DII.
Review forecasts for accuracy compared to Business Development and Operations expectations, as well as historical.
Prepare departmental, workcell, and plant-level Variance-to-Forecast reports.
Serve as a resource for Business Development and Operations in dissecting finances.
Prepare and update templates and files as necessary to prep for Month-end close e.g., salary file, DL file, square footage files, combining weekly payroll reports, DII, workcell shell, margin analysis, CILO file, Prism allocation, etc.
Post key accruals e.g., temp bills, freight, Duty/Tariffs, etc.
Reclass between cost centers e.g., outbound freight, building allocations, etc.
Update Margin Analysis file .
Cost Center reviews and adjustments.
Manage and execute staffing splits and charge-outs.
Manage and execute intercompany charge outs.
Run TM1 allocations.
Create functional and workcell variance files for review and updates by teams.

How Will You Get Here?
Education:

- Collaborate on continuing education initiatives, training users on updates, improvements, and leveraging data analytics tools.
- Assist in the setup and installation of Procore, utilizing programming skills as needed.
- Help configure Procore settings to customize the user experience and integrate data analytics functionalities.
- 5-7 years work experience in data analytics is required.
- Experience in one or more of the following is required: PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, Python, Snowflake.
- Experience is highly preferred in showcasing expertise in data visualization and analysis.
- The aptitude to learn and eventually master Procore, focusing on enhancing insights through analytics, utilizing Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Work effectively as a team member, applying troubleshooting skills and leveraging data analytics in problem solving scenarios.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ensuring effective interaction with various stakeholders during data-driven discussions.
- Ability to work under pressure for quick and informed decision making in any situation.
- Provide various levels of support to a diverse group of users.
- Strong attention to detail is required to ensure accuracy and precision in Procore related activities.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, utilizing macros and advanced functions.
